Traffic to Salespage w/ Optin Popup... or Just to Squeeze Page

Hey guys,

In your experience, is it best to send traffic straight to a squeeze page and try to convince them to sign up (and then build trust and sell products) or is it better to send traffic to a sales page, and then have an optin popup that prompts them to enter their email in exchange for a free report or a few chapters from the product?

Thanks in advance!

It's always best to get them to sign up first before you sell them anything. Always send them to a squeeze page first and offer them something free then set you paid product as an oto.

    Hope this helps!

I wouldn't interrupt the sales process with an opt in. Maybe an exit pop.

Having a OTO right after they opt-in is great, because then they are already warmed up and admitted they are very interested in the subject.

When I see a pop up, I damn near break my fingers trying to
click it off my screen as quickly as possible. Personally, I find
them obtrusive and annoying. Do they work? I have no idea.
All I know is that I have never purchased or subscribed to
    anything from a pop up.

Hopefully, someone who use this type of marketing can let
you know what their results are and what they recommend.

Pop ups are irritating in my opinion.
Lead the leads to a squeeze page and lock in their emails first. These emails can be used for further monetization oppurtunities.

Sales page should come after as the lead has "admitted" that he wants your product...

Just an exit popup for sales page.. People(affiliates) usually don't like sending their traffic to a sales page with opt in pop ups..

If you're going to be using affiliates, then its preferable to use the exit pop-up option. However, I personally send all my traffic to a squeeze page first. That provides the opportunity of relationship building and selling multiple times instead of just once.

Get them to the squeeze page first. You don't want people got distracted on your sales page

Ye probably best to have them sign up first. Your sales page is like your bed, you wouldn't take a girl you've never met straight to your bed (although I don't know if that's fact haha).

Get them to sign up, wine and dine them for a bit, build up the trust and include the link to your product within your follow up/broadcast.
