Hi
i just wanth to ask you - is it true that you can sell anymore at ebay digital products with downloadable link?
For example, i wanted to promote my free ebook over there for 0,01usd. So, as i understand, that is not working anymore. Correct?

    its actually not that bad.
Heres a tip, combine as many products as you can - i mean as many products as you can and then sell them together. so that you will be offering value and a harder time to get a refund.
Another way is to ask the customers if they want you to just go ahead and send them the product online. Basically what happens is most of the time they will say yes, and you dont have to send it to them.

    Cheers.

You can easily sell your digital products on CD's and outsource the burning process and shipping.
    Perhaps something like kunaki.com

Nice one! I didn't know about this. This will be great for me when a customer says they can't get the download, or if I need to prove a product was received/shipped.

It is okay to contact me! I have been developing software since 1999, creating many popular products like phpLD.

        No problem.
By the way I've seen scripts that automate the CD submission @ kunaki so this way you can sell cd's just as automated as digital downloads totally hands off. I believe it was "kunaki automator" or something

Yep, ebay considers selling digital products a high-risk activity and don't want anything to do with it.

Kirk hit tiger direct and get some of those things for like a buck each. Think about it you are not trying to sell products for 2 bucks instead you are selling items for 80 to 50 bucks. something in that range.
Then one dollar doesnt seem so much.

    Cheers. Nick.

Another thing and dont over look this, always ask people through email if they want instant delivery through email.
You will be suprised at how many people will say yes.
    Cheers.

Yep you can't sell digital stuff on eBay anymore.

I have noticed how sellers have got around it though...by putting it on CD. This drove off a lot of sellers so a lot of competition is gone which should make it easier to enter the market if you want to try for it.

I would recommend selling a cd, but offer them a choice to download the product instead of having it shipped. They will probably take the download option.

Great advice. I have been looking to tackle Ebay and will use that strategy.

Not much use though if one lives outside of the USA or Canada, so it appears.

Most auctions sites do not allow digital products anymore. The only one I know that still allows is Easybid.

I can't really blame ebay. The digital products were a cesspool of PLR and copyright infringement.

I could find 20-40 infringing auctions selling my content on just about any day before the change.

Ebay's changed policies from April 2008 made it very difficult for digital products to sell there.

You can sale through classified ads or through cds.

Feedback system is not applicable for classified ads.

It will be better for you to sell physical products on Ebay rather than digital products.

You can sell digital products on eBay or give them away using classified ads. I don't do this in my main account though as the rules are never straight forward and I don't want to take a risk.

I use a second account - it's $9.99 for 30 days and you shouldn't put a link on the page (many people do but I had an advert removed so won't do it again) , but an opt-in is currently ok and works for a free item.

The title is the key to getting traffic, as with other listings.

          Hey Keith,

Can you have 2 accounts with eBay? I'm doing the same but I'm just using my main account. I would actually prefer to use a new one for my eBay classified ads.

People can hate eBay all they want. Less competition for us still using eBay to build our lists and sales funnels.

Much to contrary belief, eBay removes digital products which are listed as classified ads as well. My products get yanked off eBay once in a while and it gets pretty irritating sometimes.

The key, however, is to use keywords which might lead customers to think that they have the option to download your products.

Or best, use eBay as a marketing tool. Sell your digital products on it but ship them out physically. Slot a flyer or ad in the consignment, offering discounts or freebies for the next time they get your product off your site. You can always set the products on your site as strictly digitally delivered.

Sell access to a membership site where they go to get the product.

Sell a URL .info with temporary hosting account. 99cents at godaddy (last time I checked) their product is in their hosting account. (hosting is sold on eBay all the time so it shouldn't be a problem.)

Ideas should flow from this, like temp use of the .info, long enough to get the product etc. Use the .info over and over. Even if you just let them have it the 99 cents is cheaper than a CD and mailing.

I haven't filled in all the details above but there is enough to get the brain juices flowing.

    I bought 2 cheap "cds' 99 cents and $1.50
on ebay and I sent the sellers emails asking
if they could just send me the download...

And of course they said yeah.

    I guess, where there's a will there's a way...
