Turnkey Hosting Resller Options

If you want to resell hosting to people you sell websites to but don't want to be the hosting tech support are there any good options that allowed you to keep getting paid on a monthly basis rather than a 1 time commission / affiliate type deal?

I was looking into hostgator reseller but it looks like either you are the hosting company and support or you get a 1 time commission.. Trying to straddle the line and get the best of both. Any out there?

    Not really. Some companies offer a recurring commission but it's usually like 25%. 25% of say 5 bucks is $1.25...

    If you don't want to support customers, then become an affiliate/partner. You can't have both.

    Just get a reseller account. And host them ur self. If you plan to only host ur clients then you don't need a big website and automatic sign ups, ect

    I never understood why so many people will leave money on the table by not providing the hosting for the sites they build.

    If u sell 3 websites per month and charged 24.95 per month for hosting and maintenance at the end of a year you would have $898.20 in monthly recurring income.

    I see your point and yes I've done the math and realize I'll make less. But to be truthful to myself and my clients I can build pretty wordpress sites but I am no server admin. Furthermore, I want a simpler life more than I want money.

    I have been running my own websites on an unmanaged VPS at Linode.com for about a year and not only has it been a huge learning experience, it has left me realizing how little I know. Thanks to helpful forum responders I have been able to learn a lot and troubleshoot some major cpu and ram spikes, etc. but realize that server administration and troubleshooting are not fun for me and not part of my skill set.

    I just don't want to get calls like "What is this 503 Bad Gateway" on my homepage and have to go spend half a day figuring out how to fix their problem.. Even once I learn all the possible reasons and how to fix it quickly I just don't want to get that call, it creates stress..

    hey dietmtndew, its a lot easier with reseller hosting as you are given a WHM Panel to manage your accounts and if there is something wrong they contact hostgator not you. each customer is given their own cPanel so they are a customer of hostgator as well as you but you dont do technical. I dont anyway, customer just contacts hostgaor support. but anyway they are so slow now and their support is useless so would not recommend them but try another reseller with WHM Control for you. regards, Em

    You can check hostnurse.com affiliate program, I never used their affiliate though, only been using their hosting and it I have been happy with them.
