Can someone teach me how to make money? *Urgent*

Hello forum!

I was reading a bit of the posts here and after seeing how friendly and knowledgable everyone was I had to sign up. (I made this account a while ago but never used it) I'm looking forward to talking with everyone on here, learning and make new friends.

So here's my story and why I'm posting this up: I'm 21, my name is Rick. When I was 17 I was diagnosed with a rare muscle disease that left me bed ridden and in non-stop pain for 2 years. Unable to walk, barely talk and sleep - sometimes I'd wake up out of shock-- screaming from the pain. Eventually I got healed (thank God). However I missed out on a lot, I never learned how to make money my dad never did much for me... I'm unable to provide for my family. All I have is 700$ to my name but I'm not giving up I know I'm a business man and I can turn this all around.

If anyone here has been in a similar situation like this before than you'd know where I'm coming from -- I'm not staying down and will turn all of this around I believe I'm a hard working man at heart and I'm not letting my conditions affect me.

Is there anyone here that can mentor me in to doing any type of line of work that you know will definitely work? I know nothing's over night but I'd like to put myself in the right direction. I'd definitely be willing to send you a percentage of my earnings as a way to show my gratitude and varasity. I'd like to make 5k (or more) I know you guys here are VERY skilled and 5k is very low for you all. But if you have a way I could make more - even better. I'm definitely looking to give back - I'm NOT a greedy person at all. Thank you all so much.

Hi, you really don't need a mentor or anything you can do it all by yourself. You certainly don't need to do anything for me.

I'm not going to mentor you or anything like that, you really don't need it.
You can spend $7 and get a WSO that I know 100% works because I've been doing something very similar for years myself.
    Here's the WSO: http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-special-offers-forum/800143-warrior-special-offer-day-affiliate-zombie-brain-dead-way-build-affiliate-empire-just-like-me.html

I'm not an affiliate for his WSO at all and that's not an aff link. But you could tell him I sent you.
Here are a few tips that will IMHO help you immeasurably.

    1. Beware the shiny - shiny. That is to say that you're going to find yourself on tons of lists. Don't buy anything that you don't really need.

    2. Find one thing (like the wso I showed you) that makes you money and do that over and over and....

    3. Before you buy ANY information about any topic Google it 1st and go to you tube. Chances are you'll find it there for free.
You'll need to know how to set up a word press site etc. Google it, go to you tube, there are massive resources at your fingertips instantly and for free.

4, 5 and 6. When you start getting grand ideas about making 500K in 24 hours or some other horse pucky see #2 above.

    Hey ,welcome to Forum!

Good to hear that you are all good. I'm not a mentor and don't know any 100% method for you to make money quickly however just a word of advice....

Forget about such things as: quick money, easy money and products that claim that their 90 year old grandmother makes $700 per day with this method because in reality for IMers it wasn't an easy road to create a full time income. Those who claim that it's easy are just stright spammers or are a part of 1% that got really lucky (like lottery).

    Why I'm saying all that?

Well cuz I started IM with a mindset of: oh it's gonna be so easy, I will be making $1000 per day in no time blah blah blah, and guess what? I didn't make any money for a long time because I kept looking for that quick way. I wasted a lot of time until I realized that I will need to put a lot of time, thought, creativity and hard work.

Don't believe all those ads that say IM is easy, it ain't. If you want to earn a lot then it's like any other high paying job out there. You need to study a lot and invest a lot of your energy.

Didn't mean to discourage you or anything, maybe someone will see your thread and point you in a right direction right away.

Here are some sources and programs I use/used to learn IM:

    -Bring The Fresh
    -OMG Machines
    -source-wave.com
    -viperchill.com
    -smartpassiveincome.com
    -searchenginejournal.com
    -performinsider.com
    -moz.com/blog

    and of cource this forum.

Good luck with your IM. Ask any questions.

It really takes a lot of work and patience to make this make money online work and its actually when you look for a quick method that you fall into the trap of chasing shiny objects. But what always works is getting a website up, building a list and providing value/promoting to your list.

Learn how to drive traffic and you will do well!

    That's kinda like asking someone

"Dude, I REALLY need to learn how to hit a homerun, QUICK".

I've been marketing for so long.

Things change. I learn new stuff. I throw out a ton of stuff all the time.

Just get in the game, and keep swinging.

No one would mentor you for free, I'm sorry. You'd either have to pay for the priviledge or offer them something other than money (maybe your skills) in return for their time. It's just how the world works.

For example, if you are good at writing, then offer your writing skills to a successful warrior here in exchange for, maybe learning how to make money from a website.

Itsl's going to take dome time before you make money in IM, so be prepared for that.

If you need emergency cash though, offering your services for upfront payment is the only way I can think of right now

    Good luck

Thanks for your response guys - very helpful.

I hope I didn't give you the impression that I'm looking for a 'get rich quick scheme' I know there all scams and don't exist. I understand. However, what I was implementing was that I need to do some type of work quickly. I'd like to make 5k per month, why? Because I'd like to move out of my family's house, get a car and an apartment and teach my brothers to do the same. I'm about working long time - not getting it quick.

Also I meant I'd like good idea's and what fields to get into, which would push me in the right direction. I don't want to waste time. I'd like to know what I can do in order to earn enough for my goals and go after it. And I really appreciate every answer I get from here - you guys are amazing and very kind.

Also what's a WSO and does IM mean Internet marketing? If so, can you define that.

Also I'm looking to make residual income , growing up my dad had his own business and we would never know when our next meal would come in and my dad was never able to keep a car or a house... I promised myself I'd never give my family that kind of life..

Having said that I thought what about getting into sms marketing service? Which is where a company/restaurant/local shop/whatever pays you a monthly fee to advertise their business with sms marketing (customers get deals simply by driving by their shop) I think that would work. What do you guys think - would that be successful?

Since you are just getting started, the best thing you can do is start building a list. Just go to Google and look up list building and you will find out all you will ever need to know about list building.

It will take time to build your list, but having a good list of people that trust you will do more for you than any thing else I can think of in IM (Internet Marketing).

People with the same rare muscle disease (or their loved ones) could most likely be interested in learning more about your real world knowledge and your significant first hand experience in this medical condition. They could be particularly interested in knowing the following things:

    • The things you did, the tools you used, the diet you followed, the treatment you went through and the therapy you took to fully recover from this condition, to relieve your pain and depression while suffering from this disease, to do things that kept you from thinking about your situation, to spend time with your family and friends while suffering from this medical condition and so on. And:

    • You could possibly reach these people through the Internet (via a blog and by spending time in relevant online social groups, blog networks and Web forums), so you can share your experience, educate them and recommend to these people some of the products and services that you used to solve your related problems and to satisfy your needs while you were suffering from this medical condition, in order to help them and simultaneously earn affiliate commissions from each lead or sale that you generate for the developers of these products and the providers of these services?

Guys, thank you so much for your replies.

Steve, thanks for your message. At this point, I have no direction what to do - I met a lawyer today and asked how much it was to start up my own office cleaning business - for her to do all the paperwork it would cost 1500. I don't have enough so I can't do it.

If you possibly know of a definite way I can make money I'd appreciate the idea. Recently I thought of buying a website off of flippa that can generate a monthly amount of money on auto pilot and save up, buy a few more sites and that way I'd make a lot by just running the site. What do you guys think: can someone point me in the right direction

First of all, never say "can't".

Nothing to do with IM, but way back in the dark ages, around 1980, I was out of work and had nothing to do but bills to pay. I printed an office cleaning business card (about $5 back then) and spent about $100 on supplies (mop, bucket, etc.). I practiced cleaning an office so I could get an idea how long it takes to clean an office and found that you could tell how long it takes by the number of people working in a place, so I could walk into an office, count how many people worked there (by the number of desks and chairs) and give an instant quote. I walked up and down a street with small businesses soliciting work and found that about one out of ten became a customer. By the end of the day I had a full slate of steady customers. I didn't worry about registration, etc., until about a month later, which was fine and I had some cash coming in by then. I kept that small business going for a couple of years and it got me out of a tight spot, as well as some unforgettable experience.

Point being, never say "can't". You can.

One lesson I learned from this was that it's always faster and cheaper to provide a service than to sell a product. You are, of course, limited to your time - how many hours you have to sell. Selling a product has no limit to ultimate volume but takes capital to invest and time to develop a market. If you don't have capital and need results fast you're better off providing a service.

        Kudos Skylang

A perfect example of thinking outside of the box and utilizing what you have available. This can be done by anyone. Unfortunately I've found many people have what I refer to as an employee mind and actually need to be trained to think outside of the box. My last experience with this was a guy whose computer virus I was removing here in Honolulu Hawaii.

I asked him what he was going to to do the rest of the day. He stated he was going to look for a job in craigslist. I told him one service I offered was to teach people how to make money online.

He stated he never thought of that. Now, here's the kicker - HE WAS A BUSINESS MAJOR!

Even colleges don't teach people to think outside the box!

      Not really

Start off with what you can do. For example, I started off as an IN HOME computer tutor here in Honolulu Hawaii.

      Why?
      Less overhead
I could charge a fair price since I was coming to my clients

I've always said, the less a client or prospect has to do the more likely something will get done. Thus they wait at home and I do the work

Eventually, as I mentioned in a new book release call Sneaky Advertising and Marketing Tricks, I found a very low rent office space at a storage facility which caters to businesses doing just that. This took care of the very few clients who insisted on coming to me.

      So think outside the box

You want to start a cleaning business?

What can you do right now in that area free to low cost to get started?

      Clean houses clean offices
Advertise a reduced rate if they supply the cleaning supplies and equipment therefore lesson stuff for you to haul around with you

Just ideas off the top of my head.

      Rick

My best advice before you find a mentor is to figure out what type of online business you want to create and then find someone who's already successful in that domain and join his/her mentorship program. There are many different ways to make 5k so it's not as black and white as just asking anybody to mentor you...

Thanks so much! That really helped me. I can think outside of the box, it's just after life being so difficult you get used to things never working out for you, problems always happening and it never working out. So your right, I can do it under the table for a bit.

What do you guys think of the idea of:

I'm not suggesting doing anything under the table, but check out your state's laws, they will be on the government website. Here you don't have to register a business at all if you're operating as a sole proprietor under your own name and if you do register a business name as a sole proprietor it only costs $35 to register online. You don't need a $1500 corporation to do something simple.

Thats a dream, I have never seen a site make more than a few dollars on autopilot. Please dont get into the mind set that working online is some get rich while you sleep thing. $5K is very easy to make and Im saying that from experience. I make my entire living online. I would never publicly advise anything illegal, just pay your taxes. A lot of people here in Hawaii have side businesses. There's a form for it in your taxes or online taxes (I am not a tax attorney nor do I play one on tv)

As far as getting slammed by life

Church helped me a lot and prayer helps even more. I'm telling you what helps me I am not suggesting this for you, but at the very least find a networking group in your area. Try Meetup.com I belong to a group I met from there. Try MLM they have great training and great motivation.

      To your other business ideas

Do you know anything about them? My philosophy is to do activities which will generate income now and in the future. If I'm not sure of a business activity I ask myself if this will make me money. If not, I move on. By the charity work DOES make you money, but don't do it for that reason.

That's my advice for what it's worth. Thanks for giving me the chance to open my big mouth

Once again, thanks for your replies. I honestly can't believe how helpful, kind and smart everyone in here is - I appreciate the time you guys took out to help me.

Tutor, thanks for your msg's. I'm a Christian, and God is really important to me - and he has strengthened me through all I've been through - that's why I'm here. I don't only believe in a God to use as a, 'crutch' so to speak, rather because I informed myself of the philosophical evidence.

I'm already involved with a charity/orphanage but get no money in return from it, I never knew you could get money from it. The orphanage however, doesn't have lots if money so I can't really asked to get paid. But of there was a way to benefit the orphanage, raise money and get paid for doing that - I think that would help everyone out. Funny you mentioned it, I just got back from meeting with them today.

    1) I still feel like I have no concrete direction to get to the point where I can say, "That's it, I'm going after this thing or that." I don't know what to do. My passion in life is making music for my band, I'm extremely good at that (if I told myself any less I wouldn't write good music) were trying to get signed, were quite close all we need is a singer.
But I know tons of money won't roll in from that any time soon, though its possible.

I don't have any other passion in life aside from that, but right now I'm focused in fixing my dilemma. So here's my question: what would you suggest me doing. (Sorry if in bring redundant in anyway, I just don't feel like I have any direct guidance.)

Why can't it? Think outside the box for a moment here. Put an ad on Craigslist, offer free music lessons, get your name out there, get some paid lessons, get more gigs by networking, etc. If that's your talent in life, then you are absolutely insane to even consider anything in online marketing.

If you need immediate money, then you need an immediate job. Sorry, but it drives me crazy when people say they can't support their family...why not? Because your pride is telling you to look for home runs, while you could have gone over to your local gas station months ago and started collecting $7-9 an hour.

Likewise, the idea for the cleaning business is equally insane...because you have not researched a thing. That $1500 to the attorney is for filing to get you a business license, doing your tax forms and stuff like that....all things you can do yourself for free. If that's what you want to do, then get online and research how to do those things. It's that simple. But before you commit, do your homework on your competitors, your unique value proposition, how you'll market your business and every other aspect. You can't just open your doors and expect miracles to happen....opening a business and building a brand takes ridiculous amounts of work.

      So here's the only answer-

Once you have some money in the bank and you're keeping the power on, then it's time to dream a little more. But for now, there's only one way to avoid losing everything and that's getting to work.

You should follow this guidance. This is the best one in this thread. This is the right direction for you.

Avoid spending money on something of which you are not 100% sure. IM is saturated with scammers and for those people, newbies hates IM and thinks this industry is all about scamming. There are several mentors in this forum to whom you can discuss about your problems. Most likely, you will have to subscribe into their program.

Yup that method works. The one thing I would recommend is to try selling stuff to offline business owners.

When a business owner pays you through PayPal, it is fast PayPal cash. Trust me, it is quite a good feeling when you see $1,000 plus from just emailing and talking with business owners.

Offline marketing is a great business to have, and the ideas in the offline marketing forum are worth looking into.

Find an amazon product, do some quick SEO research to see which one is easier to rank for, upload the video with your affiliate link.

Next, push some social backlinks to the video and ping it.

    Voila!

Your video should be on the front page of YouTube and or Google now depending how competitive it is.

Now go out and find another amazon product and repeat the process.

Learn or improve on a skill. It is the best way to make some money online, and off. It will better you as a person and make you feel as though you earned the money fairly and without scamming someone into buying some product that you're affiliated with. Nothing wrong with being an affiliate but just make sure you actually like and would use or recommend the product yourself.

You could try Fiverr.com or a service website like that. I'm sure it won't be a ton, but it would help. You could try creating a didyouknow blog, those seem really popular right now and with a little traffic you could make a little money from ads.

Before you start anything you have to know what Niche you want to be in & there are plenty of them from Make Money Online, Health etc., You know some people may disagree with me and some have on this forum before but what worked for me was I found something that I was passionate about which is teaching and helping others achieve their dream of owning their own business and I never looked back...

Whatever it is that your passionate about make sure there is a market for it before you even enter it because if there is no market for it then there will be no money in it... It took me 3 and a half years to become successful because I kept buying into the Quick Money which does not exist unless you have a great responsive list built...

All you need to do is say for example you go into the Health Niche always stay on top of that Niche & Learn all you can about it... Then you start building your Email List also having a nice follow up to your list building rapport with them and Driving people through your Sales Funnels, Create Your Own Products and if you have a good relationship built with your list let them know when you come out with a new product.. Also promote Quality Affiliate Products related to your Niche to your list and you'll be fine...

Lastly once you get all that down then master Driving Traffic to your System and BANG your set....

Even if someone taught you how to make money urgently, i doubt that you would put it all into use, or worse... do anything at all. Plus you probably wouldn't forget the exact techniques to do, and the lengthy list of things to do to promote your site.

I would invest in advertising and do some immediate backend marketing. That's your best bet here.

step one: reading, lots of reading, learning is the key to survive, plus lots of youtube
step two: sell your time to do some service, like write articles on fiverr, elance
step three: build up your "writing" skill
step four: create ebooks, to try on platforms like amazon kindle or create own ebook products
    step five: expand and grow

THE GOOD NEWS IS - Online business is very merciful of your past. It doesn't care whether you've been outdated for years, been a bad boy and just got out of prison, bed-ridden due to illness, living in the streets, etc. etc. If you just ACT NOW and MAKE AN IMPACT, you'll reach your goal in no time. All the Best!

Here's what I don't get...my reply is now the first from 2015, but it wasn't last night. There were at least 6-8 comments before mine and it appears they've all been deleted. When I replied, this was the #2 thread overall on page one last night...so I didn't even realize it was old.

Instead of a moderator deleting a bunch of posts, it would make a lot more sense to just close it out. I'm not sure why that didn't happen though.

Hey there. I feel your pain. I was diagnosed with Avascular Necrosis bone disease and had both of my hips replaced in 2004. Since then, I have been doing whatever I can to make money. Back in 2010 I finally got smart and asked for some help. I went to Vocational Rehabilitation and applied for services, and was approved. They helped me start a business and Incorporate it, since I can't make a lot of money, or I would lose my benefits ( SSDI ) Hint: The Corporation can make millions... I just draw a $895 per month check as the CEO. Anyway, I started doing web design, SEO, and social media marketing because it was what I enjoyed, and I could do it from home. It works for me.

I suggest you do something you enjoy, and that pays you. Everyone who replied so far is correct. Do not get caught up in chasing the "shiny shiny". It's a dead end street. Buy what you need to help you do what you NEED to do, and just "check out" the rest. You'll get some good ideas, and a better "big picture" as time passes.

Educate yourself as much as possible, and trust me, because this is VERY important... ASK FOR HELP! You cannot do it alone, I know! You can make money all kinds of ways online. You can do social media management / and set up of social accounts, or you can do SEO, or set up Wordpress or some other CMS for people. You could build web sites, or write content, or design graphics, or whatever.

Pick something you ENJOY, and do like they said... do it over and over and get that money. Save it, you'll need it later.

You are in the right place my friend. The Warrior Forum has been around a long time! The folks in here, even though most wouldn't admit it, are BADASSES at one thing or another. You can learn a lot right where you are.

Most folks start out doing affiliate marketing, but I will suggest you develop your own products and services, and find Joint Venture opportunities to get some help. Don't be afraid to ask if you don't know something. The only stupid question, is the question that never gets asked.

Hope that gives you some insight. Take a breath, and breath in the life giving air that is the Warrior Forum. You'll be ok, and have a G-Man great day!

No, it wasn't - there were one liners and a link spam and when those were deleted it pushed your post to the top. I knew you didn't bump it.

I've wondered, too, why mods don't lock a thread like this - clearly it's not a topic where "new info" is relevant.

It's hard not to answer sometimes because you have to go back a full page to realize it's an old, bumped thread.

Well with the FL mods you never know! One guess would be that they have instructions on which threads to keep live and which to close and I can only assume that the subject line can certainly bring in Google traffic which is all that FL really cares about.

The FL mods are asleep at the wheel half the time. Threads that should be locked are left up for more discussion that holds no value. People that should be banned are not – I had a guy from the copywriting subforum continuously harass me through PMs and all they did was ask him to apologize. Should have been an instant ban – no questions asked.

Unlike old mods, they have nothing invested in the site and don't care whether it succeeds or not. They are getting paid to do a job – a job they seem to not understand well – and it's a huge reason this site is tanking so fast. FL needs to do something about moderation or I have a feeling Warrior Forum won't be around a year or two from now.

I am glad you were cured of that disease. Since you are wanting to get into creating a online business, I would advise you through the past mistakes I made is to just relax and understand that this is a process, and not an event.

The reality is that business is hard and is not the answer the every money problem people have. It be best to get a job and follow a simple plan part-time and build a business on your spare time. That is where successful people build their empires was in their spare time. Focus on ONE business model and stick to it over the long haul.
