Do we Really Need to Spend Money To earn On Internet

Well my this post is dedicated to all those people who are looking for extra money for free. It means they want to make money from their home but without investing any money from their side.

Are you looking for a online business or a online job?

If you are looking for a job then you can earn money without any investment. As you are providing your service. You can provide a lot of services in demand like article writing, seo, marketing, web design and much more. It will need time from your part and no investment upfront. You need to work hard for this.

But if you are looking to start your online business then it is different then a job. You first have to find a legal and working way to make money online from home. Then you need to find how other people are using the same method and how much they are earning. It means you need a full plan to start a online business. It will also take your time and money but this is the only way if you want to be successful really. You can earn few dollars per month from ptc sites but that is not success. Living your dreams is a success and For your dreams you need to build a online business.

    IMO, you can start as a job and ends as a business. If you are the expert of that niche (from job experience), you could outsource your work and it becomes a business.

      When i started I was broke and I worked 16 hours a day just to scrape an income together.

      I had to do everything manually as i couldn't afford tools ... as soon as i could afford it i invested in tools that would make things easier.

      which meant i didn't have to work 16 hours a day.

      It always make me chuckle when someone says why would you buy that tool when you can do XX manually....

        Pretty much agree with this 100%.

        You can absolutely start out with zero. One of the things that I suggest to a lot of people just starting out is to find a product, service, guide, whatever, in a niche that interests you. Then, put together a blog related to your niche. (Blogger is free.) Have a few specific landing pages for the products you're promoting.

        Then, head out and look for high traffic forums in your niche. Make sure they allow sig links. Link to your landing page in your signatures.

        You'll start to see some pretty targeted traffic within just a few days of posting. This can give you some "starting out" money so you can expand.

    If you are a writer, designer, coder, video editor etc. (i.e if you have a skill you can sell) then you do not need money to make money, but you still need to promote yourself and your services and that could cost you $$$.

    I would say that it doesn’t matter if you are working for someone else or working for yourself, there is still investment of some kind. The investment for getting a job may be far less but there is still money you have to spend up front before you get paid. For example you have to drive to work or pay for some other means of transportation. Those all have costs involved that you have to pay before you see a dime from your employer.

    I agree that it is a wake-up call for people starting online businesses that they have to spend some money in order to make some money. It seems like all the work-from-home businesses out there promote not spending any money or not putting in any effort and still promising success. I think this is why a lot of people fail at their first attempts at running an online business. They simply aren’t prepared for the amounts of effort that you have to put in and that you will have to put out some kind of investment (whether it be in the form of advertising, hosting, paying for supplies, etc) before they can be successful.

      When I started way back 2008, I spent a lot on products, trainings and tools which promises online success. I knew that time I need to invest on a business!

      I spent more $5000 on products and services. But aside from that, I spent TONS of hours research and studies.

        To the OP. An online business is just like any other business. You need money to start. My father taught me many things and here is one of them.

        When you buy a car there are three options. You can pay cash, through a finance company, or a bank loan.

        Now, the most expensive way is through a finance company because they will take just about anyone. But the finance charges will put in the poor house.

        So, I asked him why do people choose that route? His answer was because people fall that S***. And the finance companies knows that, so that is why they advertise how easy it is to get in debt.

        There are people out there that believe that IM is easy. I'm hear to tell you that its not. If you want an easy business by a waiter, or open up a sandwich shop.

      Congratulations on that. It's very possible, but as you yourself noticed a slower process. Blogger was a good choice since it can also be monetized with Adsense and they don't mind affiliate links like Wordpress does.

      Its great but a newbie do not have any seo knowledge. Making few bucks is possible but consistent income without spending money is tough. People are earning few cents a day using neobux but its not the way to go for success.

    It really depends on what you want to do and what type of online business you want to create. One could say that providing a service like writer or designer is building your own business and requires no investment but the truth is you are making the biggest investment with your most valuable asset... TIME!

    If you want to build with leverage and forget about trading time for dollars then you will need to invest $ as well as time.

    I have found with no money thing take a bit longer to complete or achieve. You don't need a ton of money but you do need a little bit of money to see something happen much faster. SEO or PPC both take money. Some more others less!

    Anyone serious about it would not be scared to spend when required.

      I kind of disagree with this. A lot of people start in IM because they are in a bad situation. Either a job that pays next to nothing, no job, etc. And they're looking for an alternative or a way to supplement their income.

      Plenty of people have very little to invest. At least initially.

      It's just a matter of starting small, reinvesting what you can, and going from there.

          I never said it was a great way to enter the IM world. But that's how many people stumble into it.

          So budgets tend to be tight.

    One can indeed make money online by spending money on advertising, hiring virtual assistants, etc. BUT you need to know what you are doing first and how to get a ROI.

    Otherwise, you will surely lose money at first...

    Hence, one good way to avoid losing money when first starting out is to use free blogs, such as Weebly or Blogger and utilize free methods of promotion, such as posting on Facebook, Twitter, free online classified ad sites like CL and Backpage, posting on forums and blogs related to what you are promoting, etc.

    After finding out how to make sales using free methods, then you can invest in paid advertising or hiring help.

Both forms of investment can do a lot to grow your business online; however, that's only if you're making smart investments. Investing in the wrong strategies and projects can wind up depleting the resources you do have.

      If you have a skill that is in demand online, your time will be the investment to make cash; however, trading your time for money limits your earning potential, so that you can only increase your earnings by investing more of your time or increasing your fees.     It’s a good idea to make money by providing services, and then invest this money to build your online business. This is better than spending your money without making any money until you will manage to really understand how to make money by selling affiliate products or you own products.

    Many newbies just lose the idea that any business needs reinvesting of some earned money to expand and grease business. As a result they created jobs for themselves. They are doing everything themselves. Some of them even do not have enough time to enjoy their life. Some of them do not think that they can outsource most of the job to other people.     Well investing is not only measuring $.

    Freelancing or having an online job is one of the low cost investing but still it has, its measure in time, effort and a lot of knowledge or skill.

    I think SEO is the best way to making money online. But as you said online business and a job both are having different aspects. First you must have to know each and every aspect of online business after that you can prefer that. Definitely it will take time but the it will give you the best outcomes. Job is also a good option in this section as for the beginner.

    No you dont need to spend money to earn money on the internet, but your efforts may be thwarted by a number of things. You could start a Blogger blog and incorporate Adsense on it, but dont be surprised if Blogger bans your account for nothing.

    It's not advisable to find the most cheapest or free way to make money online, but you should pay for certain services (like a website/webhosting) to get started online.

    I participate in whatever threads I like, and an astute person would view constructive criticism as being beneficial to the recipient, not intimidating. "Believing that their words could help others" means nothing if those words are dire. A businessman or a presidents speech is well thought out and prepared, not scribbled on the back of a cigarette carton or copied from a childs textbook.

    I see positive threads and posts all over this forum, but I also call a spade a spade when needs be. Sometimes the truth hurts but that's how you learn in life.

    I agree with this. Some people should post less and read more. Often on here I find a thread started by a person who is quite clearly a novice. They're asking an obvious question when an answer could be found easily if they did a bit of research. Quite often their post count is 300+ ! Clearly posting rubbish and contributing very little. BTW this is not aimed specifically at the thread starter.
    Everyone likes to have answers for their questions in a new thread, where they can express their ideas or the issues that are worrying them.

    Usually both because even to work a job outside the home you must pay for gas to work, etc.

    So in almost every case, to find success online or offline (in any area), at some point (especially in the beginning) you will have to invest a little of both in order to go to the next level.

    Heck, even outsourcing takes some of your time. Albeit, not as much as doing it yourself.

      I generally agree with this statement especially if you speak of spending time planning and even searching for jobs online although there are a number of freelancers who basically sign up on free online job sites and actually do get projects and get paid for their services. It's probably just a case to case basis, IMO.

    You may point out their mistakes, but please don't make them feel ridiculous.

    It’s very hard to be an ignorant newbie and look for solutions in a forum, or to open a thread and be exposed to everyone’s criticism.

    You can be ironic or indifferent to their pain, but don't be cruel.

    Put yourself in their shoes.

    How would you feel if someone would attack you when you would be desperately looking for help, or desperately trying to do something positive in your life?

    Perhaps the OP has something important to say to those who are not as smart as you are.

    You could show compassion instead of being so cruel.
