Refreshing my relationship with my lists

Hey gang,

Would love to hear everyone's view on this who has a list. I have several lists totally into the hundreds of thousands. Over the last 4 months I have hammered one of my lists a little too hard. Used to be able to get 10,000 clicks from that list but have realized that people have just been over emails. Before I go into Aweber, Get Response, etc and start terminating people who have not open our emails in the last 6 months I would like to hear the opinions of fellow warriors on how to go about re-kindling the relationship with my subscribers again.

Thanks in advance

Michael

I always try to keep my subscribers wanting more and never bombard them with useless information....The more value you provide your list the better....And keeping your content fresh and up-to-date is really important....

Once you've abused your subs and annoyed them to the point they don't open emails anymore there's little you can do to get them reading again. I mean if they don't open then it doesn't matter what you say or do, does it?

It's easier to give birth than it is to raise the dead, as the saying goes.

Start giving them more free content and maybe try NOT to sell them anything or provide any links in your emails. Don't even send them any affiliate links in the next week or two and then see what happens.

    Michael,

When you said hammered your lists do you mean by promoting offers or with anything and everything? To scale a list that size you must have segmented them at least to ensure blasting the list didn't occur as often.

You can email people everyday as long as it's of value so one suggestion would be to look back and filter out your open rates and if you can afford it, hire someone to take care of the content via email. Say for example you're Solo Ads business, blasting offers to a list isn't going to work if all you're doing is hammering everyone the same offers and all.

People will be more responsive if you're giving value so I suggest segmenting them into campaigns / groups. Did they all come from one offer? Or did you have offers about social media, affiliate marketing etc because those should be segmented too.

One suggestion would be to send everyone a questionnaire and start segmenting from scratch, then build the surface from there. The more responsive the more likely, they will be more valuable to you in the long run.

No, all offers where to the exact niche they had subscribed to. I used to send out 2 or 3 videos a week in this niche full of solid content and then twice a week do a JV swap with other companies in the same niche. But ended up getting aggressive with it and starting mailing JV offers almost daily.

      Thanks for the info :-)

Just start emailing them everyday with a lot of cool value, maybe do a live event or 2..

Like a google hangout or a webinar, this is the best way to start rebuilding the relationship.

I send a quick 2-3 minute video to my list everyday, and my audience loves me for it...
