Solo ads: where you pay other email marketers to mail YOUR offer to their list. It can be a free offer or a paid to capture leads or to get sales.

Ad swaps: where you joint venture with another person having email list in the same niche and then you exchange subscribers by mailing his offer to your list and vice versa. You must have decent no. Of subs on your list to send promised clicks.

twister pretty much explained it but i will just say a few extra things to help you

solo ads do work well for build your list as long as you use decent ones

ad swaps work great (as long as you only swap with people that respect their list and treat them well)

i tried safe swaps many months ago and it was absolutely terrible so these days i just arrange adswaps manually with people that i personally choose to swap with

this way i feel much better about sending my subscribers somewhere knowing that they are not just going to be spammed the hell out of and hammered to death with garbage
