Amazon FBA Product Analysis Tool

Hi all,

I've been working on a tool that helps users analyze their products for FBA. The tool helps understand which products will make the most money (determines highest profit and highest likelihood of selling).

We've used this tool internally, and have changed our monthly revenue significantly. It's pretty crazy. I'd love to have some users from the site try it out, and see what results they get. If you're interested in participating, please respond or message me.

Thanks all,
Steve

I'd be interested. I've made my own tool, but another look is always instructive.

    Thanks

It will be great to test it for our amazon sites.

    • I would be interested also -- I'm in the midst of researching more products to sell on Amazon (I currently do not use FBA but have been tossing that idea back and forth). This could be a HUGE help for me.

For everyone who was interested in the tool, there is now a place you can submit your catalogs.

Margin Metrics - Software to grow your amazon marketplace

We're a group of FBA hobbyist working on this after hours, so we appreciate any feedback you can give.

To clear things up: Earlier there was some confusion. This will only give you recommendations if you already have products to sell. We can't magically tell you what to sell if you don't already have products.

Sorry, we will try to figure out that magical idea in the future

If you were a serious Amazon seller, wouldn't you have to know this information before you purchase inventory? Thus, the need for all of the various scanning apps. Why would I purchase inventory and then use your software to figure out my profit margin after the fact? Or maybe you're competing with the various repricing programs that already do this.

Thanks for the feedback! It's obvious I have done a poor job in explaining the concept.

This has been one of the things I've struggled with. It would be a great help if you could see if you understand the below and re-summarize it in a clear way to present to potential customers.

        Further Explanation:

The product does give you information BEFORE you purchase your inventory.

I created it sometime back for internal use only with my Amazon store and the goal was to combine 3 major factors to make FBA suggestions.
        • Product Demand
        • Your Profitability
        • The Competition
Based on a scoring system with variables from those 3 factors we've come up with 1 final scoring number that acts as an indicator of how that product will perform with FBA.

I've been using it for a long time with my own Amazon stores after having used a bunch of other software. I typically like the information I've gotten from other software, but I put this together to use the best parts of each. The goal being to sort through large amounts of product information and simplify the deliverable in an easy to understand report with specific suggestions for FBA.

It's worked well for me in the past, but the purpose of our BETA is to make sure I can repeat the results for other companies in other industries, with different types of stores.

If you are interested in seeing an example output I encourage you to submit a catalog, and keep the feedback coming.

We really appreciate all the feedback and catalogs you guys have already submitted. We are rapidly learning how to fix these things you've pointed out.
