$30 per sale - would this interest affiliates

I am going to develop an info product focused on the weight loss niche.

I intend to sell it for $37 and offer affiliates $30.

My question is. Would $30 appeal enough to affilitates?

Thanks

I think it will. More importantly is whether or not the sales letter will convert. If it looks like it will convert good, then it will convince affiliates to promote the product.

I suppose you priced your product right and it give enough perceived value for your customers.

Main essence is how convert your salesletter, another factors may be what kind of selling weapons -- articles, banner ads, audio, video, etc. -- will they get from you.

I think $30 is a suitable commission for affiliates in this case.

      All the best,

    Hey there...

I think $30 dollars is the perfect commission... I rarely
promote products that are under the $25 dollar bar... The
reason is I use ppc for most of the affiliate programs that I'm
involved in... The formula that I use looks like this...

(commission time * 2 sales) / divided by 100 clicks = maximum CPC (cost per click)

    so plugging $30 into that formula would mean [ 30 X 2 sales ] / 100 clicks
equals $0.60 (maximum cost per click)

Basically, that means I could bid a maximum of 60 cents to break even and anything under 60 cents I would be in the profit.

The weight loss industry in extremely competitive... I would suggest picking a very focused niche within the weight loss category so your affiliates through clickbank, cj, etc. are able to choose keywords that are not to expensive to promote with.

As the guys said before me, you need to have a great sales letter... Filled
in strong claims to you product and backed by testimonials and bonuses that make people feel silly not to buy... Of course, if you go with clickbank then your money back guarantee will already be 60 days... You need a strong guarantee to take away all the risk from the customer...

If you're going to attract a lot of affiliate then you also need to have great training for them... You need to provide many avenues for your affiliates to be successful... Meaning, do step by step "how to" videos on classified ads (craigslist, backpage, kijiji etc.), ppc advertising, forum advertising, google groups, e-mail marketing, social media (youtube, twitter, facebook etc.), article marketing and offline marketing etc. Put together a list of keywords that you would go after and supply your best converting ads.

The goal is to appeal to every level of affiliate... Track where all the traffic is coming from and which areas are producing the best results... Of course you'll need google analytics or some tracking software. Let your affiliates know that best places to go and get high converting traffic...

Once all that in together you'll likely want to do a few JV's with guys in here...

    Have fun

    cheers
