Does it matter where I refer from?

With Cj, they always ask for URL, now I wonder that if I direct traffic for example from Twitter do I still get paid or does it have to be from a URL I have on my account?

Cheers/

Refer: Commission Junction - Commission Junction Code of Conduct

The Use of Non-Publisher Owned Web Properties/Sites/Pages to Promote Advertisers. Other than paid search, publishers may only promote advertisers on Web pages/sites/properties that they, themselves, own or operate. Publishers may not place affiliate links/tracking code, nor promote Web sites that contain affiliate links/tracking code, in or on third-party: forums, message boards, blog comment areas, classified advertisement services (such as CraigsList.org), etc., unless given permission from the third-party to do so.
Twitter, etc is basically out it seems.

Publisher Web Page - a page that contains a publisher link and is part of a Web site where an advertiser and the publisher have an active affiliate relationship.
The web site has to be added to your account.
They don't seem to be overly strict here but I suppose it can cause problems if you link on your other web sites.

I went to check because I don't have all my sites registered with CJ, so thanks for the question.

Not really. As long as your sites are registered with CJ you should be OK. When an advertiser accepts you it checks your sites listed so I don't think you need to create separate links for each site.

Hope not anyway. Maybe test it with one or to advertisers to see if it makes a difference.
