I think this belongs in the Mind Warriors Forum, and I also think you should reappraise your vocation in life.

If I'm lost I don't want to be found by your chart.

Too much striving, not enough jiving. Don't confuse your life with pointless charts. Think less, man. Less is more . . .

I can honestly say there isnt a single thing in there that I DO agree with:

"anything is possible as long as Im alive" there are about a billion things that I and just about everyone else can not and will not do because we quite simply lack the physical or mental ability. This one is wishful thinking at its worst.

"lower your expectations" great advice think really small that way your failures will seem like success.

"stronger' .. your stronger than you think .. IDK about this one I might agree with it, but not really, simple fact though most people dont 'have what it takes' thats why not everyone is a success.

"try lots of different things" .. hmm yea ok, lets start a restaurant, an online business, open a roller skating rink, a free newspaper, and a pet care center. Umm no thats stupid. Choose one thing that your passionate about and do that.

"fake it" .. yep lie to everyone and to yourself, if you say it enough then even you might believe that your really not a failure. Also this is probably just a cheap pawn off of "fake it till you make it", which is a far different context (if you understand this keep your anonymity and dont say so)

"right before success you will face the worst" this is a lame pawn of off "its always darkest just before dawn" and many other similar sayings .. only unlike the latter this one has no basis in fact. There are tons of company who shot right to the top.

    Nice graphics .. bad advise.

I think this is one of those 'guideline'. As pointed out in 'don't compare', everyone have have their own story. To me, there is no definite way, but there is always your way. just my 2 cents.

    @WalterW,

If this is something that you created, I want to say thank you for taking the time to try and share something that you feel is important.

I may not agree with everything that is said in the infographic but I do believe that the path to success is really an up and down journey.

Most people think that success is a straight line to the top and the truth is that is an all-over-the-place journey that sometimes requires you to go backwards in order to go forwards.

Yes, this graphic may belong in the mind-warriors thread but I think every person needs to realize that their journey is going to be one hell of a roller coaster ride and they should sit back and enjoy it.

Attitude is everything in this game. You need to keep your head on straight because it will take you out if you let it.

Great book that I think goes with this is "The Ant and The Elephant".

This is how I feel about this. Thanks again.

    John
