Telemarketing / Online CPA Hybrid
I have a client that runs a call center in the educational lead generation space ... we help people figure out which schools they might want to consider for continuing their education.
The largest objection we get to people not wanting to go back to school is that they're looking for work and just want to find a job.
So, we've put on our thinking caps and decided to try and monetize these folks by getting them onto an email list and promoting job/career/resume/earn-money related offers.
I'm planning to train our reps to say something like this when faced with someone who isn't interested because they're out of a job:
"I totally understand. We hear that a lot, so we actually put together a report called 'The Top 37 (Free) Job Boards for 2013.' We used to sell it for $27, but this month, my supervisor says I can it away for free. Would you like me to email you a link so you can get it?"
(or something like that)
When someone responds positively, the rep will push a button that kicks off an email with a link to a squeeze page to download the report.
Once they opt in, they'll get the report, along with a video letting them know how they can use [INSERT CPA OFFER HERE] to speed up their job search or earn money, or whatever.
Then, the auto-responder takes over from there, sending related offers for affiliate products or even products that we would create.
I'm specifically interested in:
- Anything you would do differently.
- Whether or not you would send them an email directing them to a squeeze page so they could opt in for the report, or simply opt them in immediately and send them the confirmation email instead.
