Question for anyone doing media buying

I have an idea for a new product and I'm trying to decide if it's worth pursuing ...

It's something that would appeal to roughly 30-40% of ALL Internet users, but the product would be extremely inexpensive ($10-20 tops) without many options for upsells or further monetization. It would almost be an impulse purchase for a lot of people.

Seems like media buys would be the way to promote something like this but it's something I've never done before. But I could see running ads on all the big sites like weather.com etc. where you always see the "1 weird trick" type health/fitness ads, etc.

I know there are a lot of variables but I'm just curious if anyone out there has an idea of what kind of effective CPCs one could expect to see when doing this type of media buy?

Yes, there are way too many variables.

Effective CPCs can range from a couple pennies to dollars.

Simply do a small test and find out.

I would recommend Site Scout to get started - it's a RTB self-service platform and very newbie friendly.

    Good luck!
