Numbers behind a $1 million launch

Lots of super-product creators talk about 7 figure launches, but they don't talk about the numbers to get that 7 figure launch.

I hope this topic generates good discussion.

Let's use a $100 product for math reasons.

$100 per sale x 10,000 units = $1 million

But how do you get 10,000 units sold?

Let's say you have 5% conversion rate. That means you need to 200,000 people to visit your pitch page.

How do you get 200,000 visitors?

Well, maybe you have a 10% open rate on emails (mix of super affiliates and new affiliates).

That means you need 2,000,000 subscribers to receive your invitation to visit the pitch page.

One super affiliate can get you a good amount of those subscribers, and several of them can probably get you all of them.

But, without connections or thousands of dollars offered as incentives on an affiliate page, you are not likely to get super-affiliates. That means you need many, many, many affiliates.

Let's say the average list is 1,000 subscribers.

That means you need 2,000 affiliates, and there is no way you are going to get that without a good amount of lead time, a decent affiliate offer, and a traffic strategy to attract that many affiliates.

What's the take away from this: the 7 figure group is limited to those with existing relationships with super-affiliates or enough money to put up for awesome incentives.

Please comment on this, as I am sure it will help many people trying to understand all of this.

You just need to identify the key sales drivers in your niche, form a relationship then take them out somewhere fancy in London or whatever and have some fun.

Putting money up for incentives by the way is easy - if you get the commercial right you just use the money from the sales to pay that out.

Let's look at 2 million dollars launch, let us check what really happens. There’s 40 percent refunds so it comes back to 1.2(million dollars) then you have to pay your affiliates 50 percent so it comes back to 600(K), then you gotta pay the prizes and then you gotta pay the copywriter, the server, the marketing, the support team and you banded with them , all resources and stuff and then the guy that creates all the videos and the JV manager...you know the affiliate manager so the time it all breaks down of it they might see 85 thousand dollars out of that and then they probably gonna pay tax on half of that. So your big 2 million dollars guru launch is probably saying less than a 100 thousand dollars in their pocket for three to two months... then they do it again...here is the 1st video,2nd,3rd...grab this...9 more left...

    JUst sayin..

Great point about the expense side. I was only considering the revenue generated from the launch itself, but you are correct, the actual after-tax money in their pocket is far less depending on the expense side.

I also find it interesting that all the 7 figure launch creators want you to follow them, but no one really knows how much they actually end up making.

Don't get me wrong...I would still love to have one of those launches

And they don't even talk about having already a lot of affiliates in place who will be all promoting for them at the same time.

You have 100's and sometimes even 1000's of affiliate all ready to pull the trigger to their list and get many buyers in the door within a few shorts days.

Here's another point that you need to realize. Most of these products earn the majority of their income from the upsells.

yes indeed the backend is how they get to 1 MILL. so on the backend they could offer things like a thousand dollar coaching plan and that reduces the amount of sales that needs to be made to get 1 MILL.
