Which tld for spanish keyword

So I have a spanish keyword that gets 60,000 exact global monthly searches

The main country searches are:

Brazil 18,000
Spain 15,000
Mexico 7,000
Portugal 4,500
Columbia 3,000

The .com is taken (undeveloped) but everything else is available. Which tld would you suggest? It won't be an e-commerce site.

    VinceS89,

Brazil wont be applicable. They speak Portuguese.
You'll have to pay attention to your Spanish keyword because could
have different meaning in Spain, South and Central America.

    Depends on market.

.net for anything computer or tech related
.org for anything that you only want the keyword to rank for (actual purpose is charitis or non-profits)
.co for some kind of company or corporation

      Hi,

      Brazil and Portugal, speak Portuguese.
All America (less USA, Canada and Brazil) speaks Spanish.
      And, of course, Spain.

In Spain, they have a .es domain.

      Regards,

    The .com.

If someone else already owns it, I wouldn't want to build a site on any other TLD. That's all downside, in the long-term. It doesn't matter to me whether it's "developed" or not: if someone else owns it, I can't control what happens to it in future, and I'll end up losing traffic to it (whatever it is), having low resale value, and all the other problems you have online when "someone else owns your .com".

    So I'd find another name.

try to get .net, if it's not available then try .org or .es (country domain for spain)
