When unsubscribers send messages

Do you read them?

I think it is pretty obvious they only opted in for the freebie. Usually, they unsubscribe on the second or third message.

But, they are always super pissed, and often they don't make sense. To me, anyway. Maybe they should. I don't know.

I don't usually get them, but today I got two:
"Because its irritating and complete bullshit no one could possibly care about"

"I don't want to see this type of fake site"

What do you think?

There are MANY potential reasons why someone would
choose to unsubscribe from your list.

I think that it's important to solicit and at least listen to
    the feedback provided.

Sure, you'll hear from some of the "crazies" but some of
the comments could provide valid areas for improvement
    for your e-mail marketing process.

    Dedicated to mutual success,

    Shaun

The fact of the matter is that there are a lot of reasons why someone will take themselves off a list. That is normal and even the BIG time gurus have this same issue. It doesn't really matter if they do that because this happens to everyone.

If they email you and talk negative about it or "scream" at you, just delete their message and move on. They are off your list and you should not care what they think about you or your list.

Listen to the feedback that seems legit and delete the loons. If an unsubscriber says something like 'your info is no longer relevant to me,' then maybe you can reply and ask them why and perhaps make changes if needed.

I had a goofball unsubscribe from one of my lists several years ago and tell me that my site was ugly and the web designer should be shot in the head...yeah, seriously. I replied with an apology for his unpleasant experience and then gave him links to alternative sites on the same subject and wished him a good day. That was just the smart ass in me coming out...couldn't help it. He didn't reply back.

Something I tell my kids about crazy folks...'don't mess with them'. I could have had an issue with the goofball I mentioned, so do as I say, not as I do. :-) Unsubs are an inherent part of the biz, so let it roll off your back and move on.

The kind of person who acts like this,
is the kind of person I don't wish to have anything to do with..

I'm ok about the "each to their own" and "it takes all sorts to make a world.."

But I am happy they are no longer on my list..

My interests are in meeting and working with progressive thinking people
who want to make a difference in their life..

And the rest is just "water off a duck's back"

If someone is going to waste their time responding like that,
then it's probably one of the biggest reasons why they are still
    struggling in their business online..
