This is the first time ever I've withdrawn paypal to bank account directly.

It said it should complete in 5-7 days when it was withdrawn

But it went from Pending>>Complete within 48 hours

and now it shows completed on paypal site,I just guess its been like 12 hours since I saw 'pending' to 'Complete'

*But I cant see a penny from paypal or any other sources since last week in my online bank account,is this normal?

Please help me out here I'm nervous :/

It said 5-7 days but as it says on paypal page now its been already completed since many hours but my bank account doesn't show any signs of new money..

Double check you had the correct bank account. It may differ in different parts of the world but I normally get paid in 3 days. Don't forget to also take time zones, holidays and weekends into account

How long has it been since it said completed and when did it say it?

All that means is it's been completed on Paypal's side meaning they have now submitted it and it's out of their hands now. (Which they could had done instantly if it weren't for them taking advantage of making interest on your money first for a day.)

Though once it's out of their greedy hands finally, it still needs to be processed and added by your bank. That part depends on your banks policy of when they batch process all these ACH transactions that come in, and what day of the week it is. Most banks don't process these during the weekend or holidays Unfortunetely.

So if you requested the money from Paypal on a Thursday for instance and then Paypal finally shows it's been completed (sent) on their end on Friday. Then you likely have missed your banks last batch processing time of these until Monday morning. Which is even worse for me cause my bank is in the US, so I have to wait until Tue here for it to be Mon there.

That is why they say it could take up to 7 days.

The best days to request Paypal withdraws are the beggining of the week like on Monday or Tues. Then you'll usually see it in your account in 2 days.

Its been a few hours ,like 4-6 since it shows completed and its a Saturday here since 12+ hours ,so I guess I'll see the money by Monday?
Lets hope I didn't mess up while adding the bank account number by a digit or two ,I'm almost sure I entered it correctly but thats the only possibility if this doesn't show up in a few days

Thanks for the advice,I appreciate it.

        You'll see it Monday morning.

You can't withdraw money from Paypal to an account until that account is first verified. When you first verified your account they sent a small deposit to the account and you had to tell them the amount of it once you saw it. So if they were able to verify the account that way, then you had entered it correctly. So it's virtually impossible to withdraw money to the wrong account since that account number was already verified.

Why Paypal doesn't offer an express same day Wire transfer service for a fee I have no idea.

The only fast way to get your money from Paypal is to get their debit card. Then you can withdraw your money instantly from an ATM for a few dollar fee up to $400 per day, and you can also use the card to directly purchase things.

I recommend anyone in the US get the Paypal debit card. I've been kicking myself for not getting it before I left the US to AU. It would of solved a lot of issues and having to wait for things. Instead when I need money from my PayPal quickly I have to send it to a friend who has a Paypal card and then he uses the card to send me the cash through Western Union's site to pick up. That's expensive!

    Great advice from Plugin Profits.

When I initiate transfer on a Monday morning before noon it's usually in my bank account by Wednesday morning, Tuesday by Thursday, Wednesday by Friday, Thursday morning by Monday morning etc.

    God Bless,
    Marcia

They say 5-7 days but sometimes it is quicker. I got some money within 24 hours...unusual but true. It does vary depending on if it's a weekday or weekend of course.

"Completed" on paypal site does not mean it is already available in your bank. The whole process will take an average of 3 business days. I am doing transfers every week during Saturday night and it is always available in my bank account every Tuesday night... and that is 2 business days.

yea even if it shows complete it doesnt mean its in your bank it just means they finished their internal processes and gave given the payment order to the relevant banks which depending on your country might have intermedediate banks involved so just have a bit more patience and if it isnt there after 7 days ask paypal for the trace number and then give this to your bank so they can find out where the money is

Dont worry at all. No matter of incorrect bank account, as you need to verify the account with the small deposits.

    This is how it goes.

    1.You withdraw.
2.They declare it ascompleted on your account within 7-8 hours. ( this shows that they have authorised the transaction and the money is sent).
    3. Your bank needs to accept the money to your bank account. For this they ask for secure authentication from PayPal. It usually takes 3 days excluding bank holidays such as weekends.

In short, it takes 4 days normally to get the money to your bank account. My brother works at PayPal so have pretty much knowledge about there work. Don't worry your money is going nowhere!

Other than if it backfires (owing to invalid recipient details, for example), there's usually no way of tracking the status of a bank transfer. From the payor's perspective, it's complete upon submission, as soon as the instruction is received by the bank.

That is why PayPal considers it "complete" when you have yet to receive anything.

I'm thankful for the system we now have in the UK. Waiting on PayPal withdrawals used to be a royal pain in the arse, but now we have the "Faster Payments Service", an interbank initiative whereby most everyday GBP transfers are done more or less instantly, barring technical problems.

I'm surprised by the implication of there being no US equivalent? Something's amiss when oil flows more freely than money itself in the land of big buckeroonies.

Yes indeed ... I'm still at the stage of being supremely impressed, every time I do that, how fast it is. It's sort of "like banking should be" (but never really has been).
