I Need A Few Ways To Get Free Website Traffic In Order To Get Live Calls

Hi everyone..i am in an offline business and need help with this area of free traffic generation. My target audience are home owners who need to sell their house.

My problem is...." I am not getting enough live phone calls due to poor traffic ! "

I have done seo and created a lot of original content personally for the blog section to help with traffic but, now I see I need outside help besides relying on search engine organic traffic

If you were in my shoes and had a real estate site targeting home sellers what website traffic strategies do you feel would be best for me to implement based on 10 hours a week I can devote personally to create traffic..

Here is my site in case you need it to make suggestions: webuyhousestristate (dot) com if you google " webuyhousestristate " my site will come up 1st has a pic of houses and money ...

Look at what else is happening in the would-be seller's life.

Are they getting married and consolidating households? Are there children involved? Is it a first marriage or are they creating the next Brady Bunch?

Are they liquidating an estate? Settling a divorce?

Are they upsizing, down sizing or changing locales because of a job/career change or retirement?

Once you have your list of what makes people want to sell their homes, start brainstorming content you could syndicate to publishers and bloggers who deal with those topics. Prime the pump by reading a bunch of them. AllTop.com is a good place to find popular content on almost any topic. Make a note of any site or blog that uses outside content - they're potential syndication partners.

Create articles/videos/etc. with valuable information about selling a home in their specific circumstances, and offer a free consult (link to a landing page with the offer).

Start syndicating content. This way, the publisher has already done the traffic generation for you. In return for valuable content, they 'pay' you with a link to your consultation offer. There have been dozens of threads already this year dealing with how to syndicate content.

Two other resources, neither free, are Content Cash, by Paul Myers and Turn Words Into Traffic by Jim Edwards. Both are excellent.

Too late to make a long story short, lure visitors to your site by looking for ways to get in front of other peoples' visitors with valuable content.

      John... thanks for your feedback...

I like this idea and will now think about the different situations my target market are facing, and create content based on their specific situation and get it syndicated, it makes sense to catch the traffic they already have by writing for their visitors.

Now...once I find blogs that allow content to be written for them, what should I look out for before I make a decision whom to write content for, if they are not getting any traffic it would be a waste of time for me, how do I sort and sift the worthy ones from the not so worthy one ?

    Here's my go tos:

Submit articles to article directories. Ping and social bookmark the articles.
Have a press release made on Guru and submit it to press release directories.
Create a blogger blog and link to your website in the first post.
    Ping the post.
Write an article on your business and post it on Squidoo.
    Create a YouTube video.
Submit classified ads to various online classified ad sources such as craigslist.
    Create a twitter account.
Create an online radio show / podcasts

Hopwood04 Thanks...for feedback, yes I have but it is very costly, will definitely do down the road when the budget is there, you are right its a great way to generate offline leads but at a big cost if one has the budget !

    2 thoughts:

    1. Do some posting on Craigslist.

It'll take you a while to tweak the copy but you basically want to both educate and presell at the same time. Craiglist is HUGE for offline stuff and you can even hire somebody to do the posting for you (although I'd recommend you write the copy).

    2. Syndicate some good content.

You could write a free ebook or report or even a really informative article and syndicate it to blogs, docshare sites, slideshare sites, youtube (by creating a powerpoint video out of it and recording it), article directories, etc.

Basically, putting out some really great content that answers some burning questions in your niche. I don't know how "local" these methods are though.

    Just thought of #3...

Rank for some local keywords in your niche.

Are there military installations near you. There are always troops coming and going. How about flyers with QR codes in high traffic targeted areas. Banner ads on other sites that would have that type of traffic. Google display network. Just some ideas.
