INTERNET MARKETING

Hi, in a few weeks, we are planning to launch a training system. The problem is, we don't know which video hosting service (my term can be wrong) to use. Anyway, here are the things we are looking for:

1. Ability to upload large files (I am estimating that the videos are at least 40 GB)
2. Security
3. Ability to create new links for every purchase and the links should only remain active for a number of days.

I'm asking for the help of those who have already launched training video products in the past.

Are you wanting to stream these videos from that host similar to a membership? Or do you simply want to deliver all the files (40GB) via a download link after purchase, and then let the link expire automatically?

Btw, we are selling these training videos through affiliate marketing. Any tips on how affiliates become interested in helping us out? Our commission rate is fairly high 40-50% we have not decided yet.

  As others have said - Amazon S3.
  
  As for security - I personally use http://s3mediavault.com/ but there are others out there - and some free options I'm sure.
  
  Also, 40GB of videos. Either you have a TON of videos or you need to perform some compression. I would look into compressing your videos as well. A great program is http://handbrake.fr/ >> that's up to you, but 40GB is hella lot.

I would agree with NatesMarketing you cant beat the price with S3 either just make sure your stuff is locked down.

Hi,

AMAZON S3 hands down wins every time!

I use it for my membership site(s), products that have
a large amount of videos stored etc.

I have had zero issues with them since I started using them and
I have been using them for months now.

S3 is the best as others said. Amazon setup a model where you pay for what you use, period. I foresee this model being the new web hosting design in the future.

Their whole suite of hosting is called "AWS"
Located here: Amazon Web Services, Cloud Computing: Compute, Storage, Database

S3 is for hosting with need for immediate delivery (they also have another option for slower delivery, intended for backup of sites, etc). S3 also has a free-tier so you can "try it out"

I would suggest that you use amazon cloudfront with S3. Cloudfront is a CDN and it will make video delivery very fast, and with RTMP streaming, your users can stream the file, and seek anywhere before downloading the whole file. Working with Streaming Distributions - Amazon CloudFront

Amazon s3 would be the best option. Prices are also affordable, and the security is perfect, storage system is too good. You don't need to worry for piracy.

I am assuming total video size is 40 GB which is not much really. People have already suggested Amazon S3, Cloud Computing Storage for Files, Images, Videos (pricing Amazon S3 Pricing, Pay as you go for Cloud Computing Object Storage), Do look into Windows Azure and RackSpace too (Public Cloud Test Drive: Amazon S3, Windows Azure & Rackspace Cloud Files -- Redmondmag.com), they all have free trials
