What type of business are you in?

I'm new here, so please forgive my ignorance... I read a few threads and it seems that most people are making their money telling others how to make money on-line. This makes me believe that most of those who are in that game are not making money - at least not enough to be a full time job (I'll just define that as 40K+ / year min.)

Another question I have is why would anyone living in developed countries write 500 word+ articles for $3-10/article.

I'll just be straight with my question... is IM really like professional sports where you have a small group of highly successful people and a whole lot more of wanna-bes? What is the supply and demand situation like for IMers? Is the market demand for IMers growing, or is it stagnant like the industry I'm in now - investment management?

Thanks ya'll!

Hell yes, without a doubt. But I think that is the same with most things. You'll always have a small group of top performers and then a large group of followers.

With more and more people losing their jobs due to the economy, more people are being forced to look for alternative ways to make an income. I can only see working online getting bigger and bigger as the years go by.

I'm in the marketing business. It's more important to be an excellent marketer than it is to be a good product developer.

For the most part, in any business there will be few people at the top... and 95% of everybody else at the bottom. Get in where you fit in. Do some good niche marketing and sell your butt off.

"Be A WordPress Website Designer" ~ 2013 Internet

Nothing changed and never will. It's about the dream. Work for yourself. Freedom. Bragging rights. That's what people want--that's what people buy.

Just fill in the blank and go for it! "Be A __________"

Could it be that the successful Internet Marketers are very busy running their projects and don't have time to frequent the forum as often as those who don't have anything better to do?

I can assure you that there are successful Internet Marketers all over the place, in many varied niches.

There are also many here on the WF that have chosen the "make money" niche simply because they think it is overly lucrative, there are tons of products available (including PLR in the niche), and the barriers to entry are almost non-existent.

I personally believe that the "make money" niche is a death trap for newbies and those who are not making money. It's easy to tell who's "making it" and who's "faking it."

    Good luck,

You'll get that in an internet marketing forum!
But there are many people here making decent money marketing all kinds of other things too.

I'm in the education, software, and internet marketing fields, and soon to be in finance and realestate too.

My first product was a cookbook that I learned to sell by hanging
out on forums like this. It's been selling steadily for 13 years, first
as just an ebook, then in both ebook and print formats.

Doing well with that cookbook got me invited to speak at an IM
event, BECAUSE the seminar host wanted someone who was
earning a living teaching something other than how to make money
teaching others how to make money.

There is nothing wrong with the IM niche, but those same skills
and that same knowledge often pays off better in other niches.

You can sell information on practically anything, so choose a niche
    that you'll enjoy.

Its your problem that u cannot trust warriors.
"Cheap things are of low value".

U may in WF without fees. So valuable experts are feeling valueless to u.

Read the threads carefully. U can understand their knowledge depth.
More u read, more u learn, more u trust.

      Keep in touch with WF.

I would have to disagree. There are so many rich, but not famous internet marketers.

I sell how to make money online stuff, but I also am part owner in an online film school, a dating site, and a self help business just to name a few.

When you learn how to market and sell stuff online, there is no limit to what business you can start.

that's really what everyone does to make money, sell stuff using internet marketing strategies. It's really as simple as that
