Sex and Nationality of Article Writers

I'm still learning about article writers, and trying to get a feel for the industry as a whole. I get the impression that there are a lot of women that write articles such as the work at home mom. Let me know if you think this is true.

Also, I am wondering if there are many American writers, or if it is more common to see writers from Asia or Europe. I am thinking I want to find an American writer if there are some good ones.

Hi David... it is funny because I just PMed you about being a work at home mom. So I guess I fit into the write at home mom's category. Although I do a whole lot more than just write.

I think you will find article writers of both genders from many places.

I've been researching article writers for the past two days and I completely agree with your hypotheses. The majority of people I have contacted have been women.

This is very true. A lot of my writers are female and come from an amazing variance of backgrounds. I even have one writer, although male, is a former Mayor of the town he lives in and is an active radio personality.

You'll always see writers from overseas trying to cash in on the content movement. The problem is, a majority of them have a distinctive tone or style of writing that in my opinion is NOT conducive to the needs or expectations of many of my American clients. That's not to say they are bad writers, but, they are more used to writing a different kind of way.

Yes, this is a good characterization of what I would say about some of my past experiences. They were nice people, and weren't bad writers, but I couldn't identify with them all that well as I had less in common with them. That said, some still did quite well, and I was happy with their work and their efforts.

Definitely overseas writers have a different formulation of sentence structures. Technically it is usually correct but sounds odd to the average American reader.

Hey, I live in the UK and I'm an expert ezine articles author. Writing articles is all about good original content, and not whether you are American.

And also there's a good mix of men and women from all over the world.

With the outsourcing market being so darned cheap you are likely to see Americans either when the person does their own lit or at the top of the earnings for writers. Nobody here with brains to write solid articles is going to do it for 2 bucks apiece.

As far as women.....probably many. Not only for home earnings, but because women are more innately attuned to language sensitivity than males (No that is not sexist, it's cognitive science/psycholinguistics fact). You would be surprised how many authors with men's pen names are women. After thousands of years in male driven societies, men's writing still sells better and generally they are paid better - but more women have natural talent than men.

The only thing that says sexist to me about that whole thing is that you bring it up here.
Anywho, I write articles, my own and on order, because writing articles is probably the part about IM that I like most. However I'm from Norway and if I had the normal living expenses of Norwegians I would have to write probably 30+ articles a day to keep things going.

    Who cares?

The bottom line is to find a writer, male, female, white, black, brown, green, that can produce the quality you're looking for.

Really wasn't a reason for you to even bring up the subject.

I really wish women would have more power in society, as there are too many men screwing it up! I am also a ballroom dancer, a sport that often has a mentality of the man leading and the lady following. That is not how the top dancers see it anymore. Now women have a much more active role in the partnership, and I love it, and see firsthand how when women are part of the equation, the finished product is of a much higher quality.

If we are talking about "bottom line" I agree with the "who cares", but I was more talking from the standpoint of being interested in writers as a social group -- a sociologist perspective if you will.
