Input on internet marketing seminars? Any good ones?

I have been marketing for about a year now. Just recently everything has started to come together and I am now making money online consistently.

I think it is important to get out in the IM world and network and learn from others but I have no idea what seminars are any good? They can be quite expensive so I would appreciate some feedback on any good ones that are worth my money over other ones.

I would like to go to one in the next 3-4 months and plan another one for next year. I can double it as a vacation also since I love going to seminars.

Thanks!

A real good seminar is the yearly jvalert seminar where marketers go and meet and possibly spark up some future jvs. The jvAlert Joint Venture Search Engine and Alert System

Every seminar I have ever been to is the same boring non-sense that you can find in any of the Clickbank E-Books.

The "you must apply yourself" inspirational stuff is just about old and that's what 75% of the seminars were.. this is just my experience though (so I don't offend any current seminar owners).
You are right about the content of seminars... I went to a big one back in April, and to put it bluntly, the content really sucked.

But the networking has literally turned into thousands and thousands of dollars for me and other people I met. From the networking, I now do work with a "guru" that calls me on a regular basis. One of the people is now my partner on 2 projects. I just ran a JV with someone a few weeks ago that made us both several thousand dollars.

This is where the seminars are great. You can sleep through all of the speakers... no matter who they are! Just make sure you don't miss a chance to network with people.

Got a little off subject from OP there, but I don't know of any coming up. They are definitely worth going though.

Yanik Silver's Underground Online seminar is outstanding for networking. Lots of successful marketers at that event. Next one is sometime this spring.

The whole point in going to a seminar is to network with other internet marketers. Also, the reason the seminars are like that is because most people need to be motivated to take action. Going to seminars isn't just about what you can learn, it's also a social event that is meant for Internet Marketers to network and if the environment of a seminar discourages networking, it's probably not one worth going to.

I think it's important to go to seminars as well, the only problem with me is that I can't afford to go to most Internet Marketing seminars, so I haven't been to one yet even though I really want to. However, this doesn't prevent me from networking with other internet marketers completely, I just have to do it over the phone through the brainstorming sessions I sell. I give away a free half hour brainstorming session on my main site (which is in my signature).

It's not as effective networking as going to seminars, but when you can't afford the seminars, the next best thing is to get another internet marketer on the phone with you, and you can either spend your own money and get an expert on the phone (which can cost almost as much as some of the cheaper Internet Marketing seminars), or you can sell brainstorming sessions yourself, that way you can make money while networking with other Internet Marketers.

However, you may get more orders than you can handle yourself. If that happens, the best thing to do is to outsource some of the brainstorming sessions, but if that happens, have the person you outsource to record the sessions they do so you can listen to them to identify JV opportunities because it is most likely that the person on the other end of the phone has alot of product ideas with no idea as to either market an existing product they have, turn their ideas into a product, or both. I was in that position before I came up with the idea to do the brainstorming session, but when I did come up with that product idea, I came up with the idea based on the fact that you first have to give before you can receive.

    To your success,

    Ben
