How to structure an email for my weight loss email list promoting clickbank products?

Hi, I am trying to figure out how to structure properly an email for maximum open rate and relationship building? Here is something I came up with this example(its just an example). What do you think, is this a good format or not, and what should I improve?
Ok, here it goes:

Subject of email: 8 Ways to Make Dieting And Losing Weight Easy

In this issue:

1. 8 Ways to Make Dieting And Losing Weight Easy
2. Things to Be Considered While You Are on Body Detox Diet
3. Your letters and questions
4. Coming up next week

1. 8 Ways to Make Dieting And Losing Weight Easy

The foods that you include in your diet can make it harder for you to lose weight. However, changing your diet can be very hard, especially if you love what you eat and your body is used to what you are eating. As hard as it may be, you have to be disciplined and make the changes to your diet so that you can lose weight more easily.
Here are some ideas that may help you.
1. *Don't be too drastic and start cutting all the unhealthy foods from your diet immediately. This is a mistake many people make during their quest to lose weight. This is not wise choice for many reasons.
2. *Your body needs enough vitamins and nutrients to function effectively. If you cut most of the foods that you are currently eating from your diet, you will find that you do not feel good. Also, cutting your calories drastically will cause your body to think that it is starving. As a result, it will hold on to the fat instead of shedding it, which is quite the opposite of what you want.
3. *Everyone seems to agree that cutting down on carbs is the key to weight loss, but you need to be careful. Your brain and body uses glucose for energy. Therefore, if you cut down on carbs, your brain and the rest of your body will not have any glucose to perform its functions. Based on this, you should ensure that you include carbs in your daily diet, especially complex carbohydrates.
4. *With that in mind, you should do all you can to cut down on unhealthy foods such as cakes, pies and many simple carbohydrates like pasta.
5. *The next tip is to look for substitutions to use in your ingredients so you can continue eating your favorite foods. A good example is using Greek yogurt instead of sour cream, and avocado instead of mayonnaise.
6. *Start exercising more. If all you can do is walk to your corner, that is enough at first. You should then gradually include more strenuous exercises as soon as you think you are able to handle them.
7. *Seek ways to make desserts with less calories. There are plenty low-calorie desserts that you will enjoy but you need to experiment. By doing that you won't feel cheated out of delicious desserts and that can be very rewarding.
8. *Ask your friends to help you work out. This is very important as it will help you to stay motivated and it also helps you to stick to your diet.
I hope that reading this article has helped you feel more confident about dieting and weight loss. If you use the tips provided, losing weight will not be so difficult. Just take it easy and know that you will succeed.

2. Things to Be Considered While You Are on Body Detox Diet

Nowadays, people have become cautious with their health. Both men and women pay serious attention to maintaining their body weight at an optimal level to the best of their ability. We look for different dietary plans and exercises that help us reduce the excess body fat. We do all this to keep ourselves healthy and fit. One of the dietary plans that have shown effective results in reducing excess body weight is the body Detox diet.
These dietary plans provide detoxifying effects on the body. It is said that these diets reduce the body weight by eliminating the accumulated toxic substances inside the body. The reason behind the popularity of these diets is because it does not have the following;
• Preservatives
• Pesticides
• Food colorings
• Flavor enhancers
While you follow the Detox diet it is important to consider some points. The points are discussed below in detail.
Avoid things that are toxic to the body
While you follow the Detox diet you are protecting your body from the toxins you accumulate in your everyday life. During this time it is very important that you eat non-toxic food items. You have to avoid the toxic food items to help your body detoxify easily without any issue. Some of the food items that you should scratch out from your diet chart while on the weight loss Detox are:
• Food containing MSG
• Processed food
• Tobacco
• Carbonated Beverages
• Coffee
In order to keep your body away from the toxins you should avoid food that contains the above mentioned substances. If you want to gain the best results from the Detox diet then it is necessary to avoid these substances.
Add healthy things to your diet
It is very important for you to add healthy items to your diet in order to facilitate the easy detoxification of your body. There are a few things that are imperative inclusions in a Detox diet. The Detox bath is another important thing that you should follow while following this diet. There are recipes found for this bath which include all detoxifying substances. The common substances are:
• Sea Salt
• Himalayan Salt
• Epsom Salt
• Bentonite Clay
• Hydrogen Peroxide
• Ginger powder
If you take a bath with these detoxifying substances and follow the Detox diet you will find it makes a tremendous impact on mental and physical health in a positive manner.
Avoid eating overcooked foods
While following the body Detox diet it is important that you eat foods that are lightly cooked. The reason behind eating the lightly cooked food is it has the complete balance of all the nutrients of that food. It is not good to have charred or burned food while following the Detox Diet.

3. Your letters and questions

Questions received last week:

Q. Hi, I have been reading your newsletters and finally decided to take action. How long do you think it will take before I see results? Sarah W.

A. It is hard to tell, because each person is different and there are a lot of different factors involved. If you are serious about weight loss, and change your diet and lifestyle, you will soon start to see results.

Q. I have been following the diet you recommended, and have lost 12 lbs in the last 4 weeks. I feel much better, but sometimes I just feel like eating lots of chocolate, and I am afraid that this will make me gain weight fast. How do you deal with cravings like mine?

A. I love chocolate, and certainly if I feel like I want a candy, I will have one. The trick is not to overdo it. The same goes with other foods. If you really want something, have it in moderation. Diet and weight loss is supposed to make you feel better, and happier.

Q. You said in your case study that before you started your diet, you detoxed yourself. How did you do that, did you follow a specific plan?

A. Yes I did. At first when I decided that I have to lose some weight, I tried different ways to detox myself, but didn't follow a system. Eventually I came across a detox plan that was recommended to me by a very good friend. This plan helped me to detox and lose weight. After the detox I started my diet. The detox plan I used and highly recommend is: www.Example.com. After I finished my detox, I started this high quality diet: www.Examplewebsite.com

If you want to ask me a question, go to www.mysite.com/askaquestion

4. Coming up next week:

1. Do parasites make you fat or slim?
2. The 5 foods you should avoid like plaque
3. Your questions and answers

Thank you for reading, and wish you a successful weight loss week!

The factors that determine open-rates are determined overwhelmingly by the interactions before, while and immediately after people give your their email addresses. Particularly by the "free report" and/or initial email you send them, which need to be carefully created to serve all the purposes listed in this post.

It's true that subject-lines can have a (very small) impact of open-rates as well, but that's a minor afterthought, by comparison. What primarily determines open-rates (once you've passed all the hurdle over reliably getting your email into their in-boxes, I mean) is of course the recipients' reaction to the sender's identity.

Disclosure: I'm not in your niche, and I'm generalizing.

I don't think it's a bad format, in principle. I think the problems are with the content.

I think the subject line's terrible: over-used, uninteresting and an absolute "classic" of a marketer's autoresponder email (that's not a good thing!).

I think it's probably too long (for most people's purposes).

It's boring (this, actually, is its biggest problem, in my opinion).

The English isn't great: it's neither easy-to-read nor written in a very good style.

It doesn't give any information that people can't easily find elsewhere (that's a major cause of declining open-rates).

It doesn't make any "branding comments" about the sender, and does nothing much to build his credibility and authority.

It doesn't really even remind people who the sender is and why they're receiving it.

    It doesn't give opt-out details.

It doesn't end on a cliff-hanger, or specify exactly when the next in the series is coming up.

It isn't entertaining at all - there's nothing really "pleasurable" in it, and very little to make the sender stand out from the crowd of 15 other marketers to whose lists the recipients have been subscribed in the past and/or still are (in a niche like this, that's a huge wasted opportunity, I think?).

Respectfully, this isn't one for a "swipe-file" of "how these things should be written". If its content were in the form of an article (instead of being an email), it clearly isn't one that any authority sites in this niche/market would want to publish because it's compelling content they feel obliged to share with their own readers/visitors/subscribers, is it? In a sense, the answer to that question tells the whole story, here.

Don't get me wrong: I've seen a lot worse. It's coherent, intelligible, articulate and has nothing specifically alienating about it at all. I don't for a moment suggest that it would produce immediate unsubscriptions or anything of the kind, at all. But in a fiercely competitive niche like this, with enormous amounts of more interesting information freely available all over the web, it also won't produce many sales, I think. It's not a "pre-seller" (neither for the sender - which is the important thing - nor for the products/sites linked to). And the open-rates may start declining, in the sense that each email has an effect on the open-rates for the next in the series. Just my perspective.

Simply too long for email follow-up.
It will be better that you provide
a summary of the content in your email,
Inviting the subscribers to visit your blog or website.

Improve your subject title. You got to catch their attention.

It's very long. Most people are lazy and won't read it. Not unless it's super interesting anyway.

Might be better to make it a blog post and then just link to it from your email if you plan to keep it that length. People will read longer blog posts but many will not with long emails strangely.

    Jen,

    Here's how I'd do it:

    Hello there,

I hope by now you remember who I am. But I'm such a great guy that I'll remind you for free: I'm <name>, and you've subscribed to receive these emails on my website <website>.

Ok, now ... let's move on.

Last time we've looked at how to keep losing weight while on a trip. If it works, I think I deserve at least some souvenirs. (If you happen to go to London, be sure to get me one of those "English Breakfast" teas - I love them!)

Today, as I promised, we'll talk about some tips when going grocery shopping. You know, things like what to avoid, what to buy, how to read the label, etc.

    So let's begin:

    <content>

But you know what? All those healthy and low-cal groceries won't help you lose weight if you dive them into a bath of oil and fry them, would they? So you also need to know how to cook them, and luckily for you, I know just how. (Am I great, or what?)

(The following section can be used to either pre-sell a cooking book or, with some adjustments, sell the next email)

I happen to know (like you'll believe I just "happen to know" ...) a very good cookbook for weightloss.

The first thing I believe is very important to every weight loss recipe cookbook, is that the cooked food should taste better, not just be healthier. I mean, what's the point of eating healthy if what you cook tastes like broccoli? Yuck. Sooner or later you won't resist, and next time you pass by McDonalds you'll just give in and come out of it looking like a Thanksgiving turkey.

And that's where <weight loss cookbook name> comes in: it features over X recipes that will not only help you lose weight, but also taste well. Sure, it won't taste like a McDonalds burger, but hey, nothing is perfect.

    Here's the link.

    Etc., etc.

But before you leave to get yourself this cookbook for which, as I already told you before, I'll earn some money, I want to remind you that in the next email we'll talk about ...

    See you soon,
Jen "The man who lost lost 55 lbs in 3 months" Andersen

It's just a draft, but I believe this reads better ...

      This is good.

      It's very good.

I don't know the niche, but this - received by "real subscribers" - will produce real money, I'm sure, if anything does.
