Is Memberspeed Too Complicated? What else is out there as powerful?

Alright guys

I was looking into having memberspeed as the core for my membership site. However now reading one of the posts on here from way back it has sort of put me off a little.. From the jist of things I got the feeling that it was to hard and took a very long time to get a membership up and running. I don't want something that I'm pulling my hair out at..

I'm mainly looking for one that is a stand alone membership script and not one that is based around wordpress. The reason for that is because of wordpress and it's security issues.. Or maybe I am wrong on that point...

I know that a decent membership script/software is going to cost money, but I havent got tons and tons of money to invest in one.... I just want decent recommendations

Also I need one that has more than just paypal as the payment processor

            Well - all I can say is that I run a number of Wordpress sites, some with high traffic and I've yet to have a security issue with any of them. I use a couple of good security plugins that button them down tight, plus I implement some other programming strategies.

            In all my years running websites, the only time I've had a site compromised, it was a straight HTML site.

      Does amember have its own themes or do you have to build the whole site then add the php code to the pages?

      It doesn't have JVzoo tho
