Business plan help

I am considering getting into the internet marketing business. I come from a successful sales and sales consulting background. I have an offline business that is doing very well but I'm interested in the internet marketing world. I see a ton of opps. available but it's hard to choose. So, while I figure out which niche to pursue I need to back away from the "right opp" and start at square one; a business plan.

Are there any sites out there where I can buy a business plan software specifically targeting the internet marketing world?

I have seen this one before, and it looks pretty good but I haven't tried it

Is the purpose of the plan to help you attract investors, or just to stay organized?

Not sure a product like this exists. May be a good software niche to explore

I personally don't like plans, mainly because I don't stick to them.

for a real live business, a business plan is practically a requirement. its like having a map. if you dont have a map, you might get to where you are going, you might not

I've never seen anyone attract investors without a well documented plan. I can recall one person who had a beautiful 4 color plan with charts and graphs that was bound with a nice hard cover, and they went on to sell it to their investors, and then spent $100,000 on programming services. Definitely good to have a plan if you want investors.
