Example of an Adsense Niche Site that is actually attractive

Has anyone ever seen an example of a 5 page Adsense-monetized niche website that is actually attractive and visually appealing, etc.

I'm a WordPress theme designer -- about to work on a new "niche site theme" and i'm looking REALLY HARD for a nice 5 page adsense niche site example.

But there aren't many out there...

Part of the problem is that the Adsense blocks themselves are usually not very visually appealing.

    The point of the 5 page Adsense site is to get people to click on the Adsense, not to look pretty.

    I don't think pretty and adsense site, belongs in the same sentence. The aim is not to distract your visitors away from your adsense code

      People don't do pretty when it comes to adsense, they want results. I think you are targeting a small audience. People want to see click thru rates, not some pretty design meant to distract people away from their adsense code.

    Try looking for examples of the old CTR theme. I thought it is pretty attractive.

    Adsense sites are deliberately ugly. They lure you in with usually crap content and have an ugly site so that you are more likely to just click away on the Adsense ads.

    Even just for a bit of old fashioned research to see what type of MFA sites do well Alexa is always a good start along with Worth Of Web, search Alexa by category and do a little digging.

      Trust me, the sites don't have to be ugly. The CTR Theme looked fabulous, especially after relevant pics are added. The color combo and layout were actually pretty good. Also, the CTR for the theme can go into the double digits.

        I've spent a lot of time thinking about this problem (weeks, months years even!)
        Here are some conclusions I've come to...

        - Make sure you get a good looking theme to start with and try not to break the designers initial beautiful intentions by filling it with ugly content
        - Ads need to be thoughtfully and consistently spaced within the theme layout.
        - Nicely designed logos and thoughtfully chosen images go a long way to making a site look good
        - 'In your face' ad placements that push content below the fold are always going to look ugly no matter what. Google is trying to discourage these kinds of placements in their guidelines now.

        So there a choice:
        a) Make a site fugly so people just want to get out of there by clicking an ad
        b) Make a site well designed so people stick around to read content long enough to click on an ad and want to visit again.

        For medium to long term strategies, given the way things are going with Google/Adsense my preferred approach is (b).

    Adsense sites need to look plain and simple to increase click-through. Beautiful rich design sites may have low click-through

      You may not remember the bad old days of mass-produced MFA (Made for Adsense) sites. The objective (well-met, IMO) was to put up a butt ugly site with content so bad that people would click an ad just to leave the site.

      This was also the impetus behind the article spinner. Actually being able to read the content and make sense of it was contrary to the objective.

      Before the inevitable crackdown, and some structural changes to the Adsense program, it wasn't hard to make five figures per month, even without cheating.

      Once Google split the content network (Adsense) from search (Adwords), payouts on Adsense plummeted. And when big G stomped the mechanical MFA sites out of existence, it got a lot tougher to make a living on Adsense.

      If you want ideas for a pretty site, check out sites like Open Source Web Design. If you want a theme that works for Adsense, go for fugly.

    what's your definition about the pretty adsense site? everyone must have their own opinion to an adsense site.actually.the most important part for an adsense site is simple,clean,and get more clicks.
    if you don't know where to find pretty adsense site,design it yourself or hire somebody to do until it fits your need
