Would Solo-Ads Work For A Blog?

Hello,
If I were to create a blog with a email opt-in box on the side, and maybe an email opt-in popup (I'm still considering it), would it be profitable to purchase solo ads for the site, or would my costs be significantly higher than any rewards I would get, and solo ads only work for sales pages?

No, you would want to create a squeeze page or other conversion optimized page to send your paid traffic to.

Maybe another warrior would have a better idea but I would just send the solo to a themed squeeze page based on your blog and market to the list pointing them to the blog through emails. That way you are not wasting traffic. I am willing to bet the opt ins for the squeeze will trump the opt ins to your site.

You probably would just want to send them to a squeeze page

You know, I am not a fan of solo ads any longer. Unless I can find someone just starting to do solos with his list I won't do it.

Although that is a pretty good idea about the blog thing.
I would in fact use a landing or squeeze page so you can attract those emails though and it would also depend on the solo artist you use and there rules.

I have tried sending known, reputable solo ads to three different niche blogs with poor results. I agree with the rest, send it to a Squeeze Page.

You can come up with some monetization angles, but on average NO buying paid traffic to a blog is a bad idea.

You need a FANTASTIC funnel in place for profitable solo ads.

A plain blog will have such a poor funnel introduction rate.

(There's always a unique exception, but just a "blog" the answer is no).

You need to split test yourself to get first-hand results, but in my opinion, you'll be wasting traffic and money. Blogs don't have high conversion rates, you know that.

Sending your traffic to a squeeze page that is tailored to get people into your list (without any distractions in the form of blog posts) is the best way to use solo ads, in my opinion.

    Hi,

It's a good idea if you're PAYING FOR TRAFFIC to have the
visitor focus on 1 SINGLE THING...

...To sign up to your list!

Any distractions will definitely lower your opt in rates.

Get them onto your list first and foremost then you can always
direct them from your emails back to your blog/website etc.

You can test this out by all means it's your business but just
make sure you do with a tester 100 click solo first just to test
    the waters.

    Regards
    Gavin
