INTERNET MARKETING

I was working on my new website, a great new service for new people and offline business people and ran across a problem with my css and html code

Research indicated I should add this to my page

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"
            "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">

Just thought I'd share and save others from research.

Yes, an HTML page should always have a doctype line. However which doctype you specify depends on the coding standards you have adhered to in your HTML code.
