Software to scan forums, blogs etc for a keyword.

I'm looking for some software which could scan blogs, forums etc for a specific keyword and then generate a report with the links where the keywords where found, the URL's etc.

Cheers.

That would be a very useful software. I am surprised there's no WSO for it yet. I would add a key feature: it must be table to let you know how busy the forum is and if the links are on sigs or on actual posts. Also, it should be able to track the different posting rules for each forum. Finally, it should also report CATEGORIES.

    Data Extractor 3.3

If you're good at regular expressions, you can make this software extract just about any pattern from any page, file or blob of text...automatically from imported links, spidering or clipboard.

Update: Wait a second. I think that is a core function of scrapebox actually. I'd do that instead. Then you can manage, filter and sort the URLS too.

There's a software called webfire that does the following:

"In just a few minutes, find all the top ranked blogs, forums and Q&A sites in your niche where you can leave a comment, post or reply for instant exposure, leads, and high quality backlinks.

Bullet Create a list of all the blogs and forums in your niche that have activity in recent days so you can get your message out to the active people in your market."

And those are just some of the features.

Yeah, I was about to say that one of the 27 tools inside of WebFire.com does just that. It's called Omnileads and is really cool. And more so than just listing off sites that are ranked, it will actually find ALL the forums and blogs in real time that have matching posts, so you can get posts that were made minutes ago that even Google hasn't picked up on yet (nothing else comes even close to this).

There's also another tool inside of it, which is included with WebFire, that does a similar thing but only for forums and blogs and such that are ranked, so you get the best of both worlds.

Isn't stand alone software, and might not be exactly what you are looking for, but try boardreader.com Very cool site....you put in a keyword and up pops listings of all forums where that keyword was used. GREAT tool for interacting with potential customers

I believe Market Samurai has a feature where you can search only certain article directories (such as EZA), forums, etc. If I remember right, this is in the part of the software dedicated to searching for places to backlink from.

Maybe someone else who owns Market Samurai can confirm this.
