Searching for a "News" plugin I once saw

Hey warriors, a couple of years ago I stumbled on a video about a plugin from a guy (can't remember the name of the plugin or the guy), that allowed you to check a box called "news" and then publish your post. Within literally a minute to two, the article would show up in the Google News feed.

Does anyone know of this plugin and what it's called?

Considering the changes to Google over the past 2 years, I highly doubt this plugin (assuming it is still around) will still work.

What I believe you are referring to is a Google News plugin will only work if your site is listed in the Google News database. There is no magical plugin that will automatically include your articles in the index. You need to apply for inclusion and if accepted, you can then use a plugin to create a sitemap to specify which content appears.

Yea... that's not going to happen unless your website is already approved on Google News: http://support.google.com/news/publi...er/40787?hl=en

No, I saw the video of the plugin, saw the whole thing in action, I just can't remember the name of it. It's entirely possible that the plugin required a Google News account, I don't know; this part (if needed) was not in the video.

There is no such thing as a "Google News account". In order for your site to be included, your site must be in their database. That certainly won't be accomplished through a plugin alone. You would need to submit your site for inclusion at the bottom of the link Chase Watts provided. You may have seen a video with the plugin in action but the site he was using was probably included in the database, and wouldn't work on any random site.

Like I said, I SAW the plugin working - I just can't remember what the name is. And no, I didn't say it was a Google plugin, obviously that doesn't exist or we'd all have it. :-) But trust me, I know what I saw and what it could do - I just can't find the darn thing or the name of it. It'll come back to me...and I'll post it here when I have it. :-)

Sure, would love to see the video as well. As you alluded to, it probably omitted the part about the demo site being included in the Google News index. No question about the power of getting articles included there.
