You can rest easy. It's actually a comic with no ads. I know, it's shocking. Of course there's an opt-in box but those are on every page these days.

The copy isn't very good or targeted to convince you to subscribe, so I don't think it's a thinly veiled attempt to collect leads either.

Well said, don't you think its because synthetic food without an exercise that make these zoo animals behave retarded, where as their harmonic disorder suffers with suppressive behavior because they don't get enough opportunity to date in relation to their un caged relatives.

Yes, the comic is a real world example of the clueless paying their "stupid tax" as my friend Perry Marshall used to say.

When you own the playground, you play by the rules. Of course the rules change dynamically so you can never be assured of continued results.

Google and all of the others that respond to shareholders, have but one mission in mind. Make money for them. Yep, if you buy Google or Facebook stock, you want your investment to magnify.

Best thing you can do is create your own virtual real estate and find traffic sources no reliant upon search engine or the like.

Play in any niche you want when you build your own lists of subscribers. There are dozens or maybe even hundreds of other ways to get traffic and make money without the help of those who must respond to shareholders.

The free lunch works only for a little while. You'd do the same if it were your web property. Finding ways to monetize your service. Twitter is next big player to roll out their revenue model.

Do your own thing, in your own way, with your own loyal fans.
