Will paid traffic help improve my popularity of my articles?

Will paid traffic help improve my popularity of my articles? I know these users will visit and leave right away but wont that help the rakings of my articles get more views and thus get more visibility/popularity on the article site and more real views from people.

      Not the search engines, not the article sites, but my articles on the article site.

      So will the articles gain rankings on the article site thus giving the article more visibility?

    I have always liked paid traffic, but make sure you know what kind of traffic you are getting. Obviously you need to make sure that they are unique visits and not just some geek sitting around sending 12 different bots to your address. I bought 1000 unique views off eBay yesterday and had them sent to one of my affiliate links. I always have a pretty good click rate.

    I would suggest buying from trusted sources and not from some no namer who is pricing their traffic for some unbeatable price. You should check out their Alexa rankings before thinking twice before buying from them.
