Goggle Thinks Clickbank is Scam! Any workaround To Promote Clickbank Affiliate Link on Blogger?

I need urgent help!

I have a blog on blogger and one of my post gets around 1000 visits daily. I tried throwing up an affiliate link and got few sales in a single day. I decided to shorten the URL afterwords using goo.gl but it said its a spam. So i removed the link immediately. I cant risk my blog being taken down, as I have invested countless hours building some decent traffic, not even thinking about monetization.

Now i have this feeling, that I am loosing out on some good money. The product is available only on clickbank

Is there any workaround so that I can still use affiliate link on that article? I am new here, so any suggestion would be of great help to me.

    If you are serious about building your sites then the first thing you would do is buy your own domain and move the content. This way no risk of having it taken down. I don't think CB links are seen as spammy unless you spam it. One or two links here and there won't hurt.

      Have my own domain, but hosted on blogger. I am thinking of self hosting on wordpress, but I am scared that I will loose my search engine ranking. So is there any workaround? PHP redirect works? or it will make matters even worst?

        As long as the domain is you dot com and not some subdomain you lose nothing, now pull yourself up by your bootstraps, grow a pair and get your own hosting. I see this same problem with many authors. They depend on Facebook, bravehost or some other site because their too nervous to "open their own store" and BOOM they get the boot and lose all that work.

    I'm not familiar with blogger's terms of service in relation to affiliate offers. Personally, I'd just embed the site with Adsense and not have to worry about it. Google won't do anything for promoting their services.

    goo.gl hates most affiliate links, use Tinyurl.com and it will work fine.

    If you do decide to move to WordPress, I recommend the free plugin, "Pretty Link" which allows you to use your own domain to shorten your urls.

      No, you did not get me. I am not asking alternative for goo.gl . I am asking if goo.gl (Google's Product) thinks the link is spam, is it safe enough to promote the link on blogger (google's product). There have been instances where google banned several blogs for these kind of issues, so my other question is , if there is any workaround (apart from migrating to wordpress)

      Both of these suggestions are useless. The problem is Google views ClickBank products as scams, which is why they cannot be promoted via Google, such as using AdWords.

      Creating a redirect or "pretty" link doesn't keep Google from seeing the affiliate link. All that happens is Google follows the redirect and then sees the affiliate link. You still have the problem.

      Blogger is a historically bad and unreliable hosting platform. One possibility is creating content on your own domain and working on getting that ranked. Who said you could only promote from one source? That it has to be either Blogger or WordPress or your own domain? Why not use all methods?

      Regardless of the platform, you will need to do something about your ClickBank link, and a redirect is not going to be a solution. It is hard to believe a ClickBank product is the "only" product available.

    Google hates CB products. I wanted to direct link Adwords to my very own CB product and they said no. They said use Paypal as form of payment and it would be good. I also know having affilitate links to a CB product will affect your rankings negatively in the SERPS

      I agree. I don't think they've ever come right out and admitted this, but my suspicion is that just having the word "Clickbank" on your site is enough to get black listed --at least in some niches.

        Google will look at incomming and outgoing links. Google isn't that friendly if it finds people are promoting affiliate products because it sees this as not adding value to the searcher.

        Google wants to show websites in the SERPS that offer real value to the searchers rather than a bunch of sites all promoting the same thing. If a site is heavily promoting CB, ie the only external links from your site are to a CB this doesn't look natural to Google. Have outbound links to a variety of sites but perhaps make CB the most prominant.

        Instead of direct linking, link to a redirector like TinyUrl.com that way Google won't worry so much about where the link is headed.

      What makes you so sure of that? My experience is that Google relies on a variety of factors outside of their normal algorithm to influence serps -- like whether or not your site is associated with another site that happens to be generating a lot of complaints for Google (don't forget that lots of people think they are "buying from Google" when they make online purchases). If losing page rank, having my Adwords account cancelled, and receiving a nasty email from Google saying that essentially I can never do business with them again isn't blacklisting, then I don't know what is.

        Lets look at this in another way.

        You could repurpose your existing blogger site. If it has direct links to CB, maybe its a review site you could change it to aleviate all confusion and worries.

        Shorten each page and work on convincing visitors to your site to optin then you can use email marketing to direct them to ClickBank. Create an x day autoresponder follow up sequence. You always want to be growing your list. Its the most valuable part of most/all IM businesses.

        This way your site is just a lead generator. Keep some content on there so that its still appears on Google but perphas more empasis to getting their email and following up is an option.

    Google has some strict policy on affiliate links. If Google Thinks its scam, then must move on to another shorten url services, there are so many out there like tiny url, adf.ly and so on.

    If you are worried about moving the site as it is getting good visitor numbers, how about getting a cheap hosting packing and buying another domain?

    On that domain set up a short sales page with a buy button for your CB product (or even just a buy button if your presell on your original site is good enough). Then add the link to that site into your blogger site, instead of a direct link to your CB product?

    Honestly Google isn't going to punish your site simply because you are linking to affiliate programs.

    And no one should be relying solely on Google traffic anyway. Vary your traffic sources so that even if Google decides to knock your out the SERPS your income barely dips.

    You might find a few pearls of wisdom there. Look at his most recent post regarding Google's current tendency toward affiliates.

      Neither Google nor "Goggle" think Clickbank is a scam. On the other hand, both ar famous for providing middleman services to scammers, especially in certain niche markets. These scammers are what they hate, and what they justifiably discriminate against.

      Unfortunately for a few honest affiliates, they get caught in the profile. Fly with the ducks and you shouldn't be surprised if you get shot at.
