Got a fun one for you - help me monetize a piece of meat!

OK, I'm learning about SEO and I built a "tester" site to see if I could get it ranked. I did and now the organic traffic is coming in, which is awesome. The problem? What do I sell to this market? The BBQ guides on Clickbank don't convert very well. How would I align this with an Amazon product? All thoughts are welcome. And here is the site (yes, I know that top header looks jaggy - it will be fixed):

Tri Tip Recipes

Let me guess - er -the key word is tri tip, right?

Was this written by a content scraper article writing software?

As for what to sell, sell hardware! Do you know anybody who uses a recipe book for a BBQ?

You might not like what I say - but I believe it.
Build it, make money, then build some more
Some old school smarts would help - and here's to Rob Toth for his help. Bloody good stuff, even the freebies!

Thank you, artwebster, and no, the article was written by my brother...it's a little rough around the edges (just like he is!). But that is what I like about it. So many articles seem wordy or preachy and I just wanted it dealt with in an honest way. Again, another experiment to see what works and what reaches people. The keyword is "tri tip recipes". I think you may be right about hardware.

Sell the meat or the bbq goods.

I did a few sample videos last year for one of my guides, and the videos promote exotic meats (alligator, ostrich, and Kobe beef). I see some nice commissions coming in from sales of these meats.

I love that idea, Kevin! But how do you sell the meat? What affiliate program is that? I can see a new site idea now...

oh my...I put a url of ostrichrecipes dot com in this post and it automagically linked to the real site. Someone beat me to the punch! Love it!!

Amazon has lots of great meat in their gourmet section. I just did a search for Kobe beef and found about 60 results. You could sell exotic meats, barbecue equipment, smokers, grills... you might want to go to Amazon and just start typing in search terms to see what you can find.

Too true! That was a good one Harvey. Yet Whole Foods sells meat to hippies, so it must work somehow!

Wow, that was constructive Morten. As i said, it was a test. I'm not sure where your anger is coming from. I have a number of tests running. This just ended up being one that got indexed and started getting traffic.

Frankly, what may set me apart from you and your "future millionaire" icon is that I don't want to discourage people even when they make a mistake. You must be a fun guy to work with. You would be better served posting at Digitalpoint. They seem to have plenty of your type there.

Guess I made that reply to someone that was quickly banned! Trippy. Thank you Kevin, I will for sure check out Share A Sale. Have any of you had alligator? I have, and it was kind of stringy. God bless Florida! This is why I love this forum.

wow I was just going to reply to Morten and I see the thread got deleted then came back, (I'm dizzy lol).

Grover why don't you add some side widgets to your blog or use another theme so you can promote some amazon stuff.

Also add some adsense, you may get peanut clicks, but then it's better than nothing
