How many of you are now accepting Bitcoins on your sites

How many of you are now including bitcoins or other cryptocurrey as a payment options on your sites?
Some very big and well known sites are starting to use this option now and I think it will only get bigger in time. I think there are very big oppertunities with this and in the future and I really dont think these kinds of currencys are going to go away.

They now have Bitcoin cash machines in london and other part of the world and there are also shops now accepting bitcoins.

I think its the way forward

I have just started looking into this as well. The only problem i see if the fluctuations of the price of the coin. Seems like its playing a bit of a forex game but can see the potential.

I think the key is to get in early and in 2-5 years time you will be laughing. Once it settles down it will become a lot more stable. Im kinda suprised that Warrior Forum hasent jumped on this sooner tbh

I do like the fact that it will also stop chargebacks

I think the problem is the potential for manipulation. I don't think that most people would argue that digital currency is going to be the future, but there is a poopton of uncertainty as to if BitCoin is going to be the Google of online currency or the GeoCities.

As the seller, you don't really need to worry about the current price of bitcoin.

If you sign up for an account at a site like bitpay, you can have them convert your bitcoin payments into fiat (cash) immediately. You pay a transaction fee for this, but in most cases its still cheaper than paypal or a CC/merchant account.

Wow im kinda suprised that there is not much interest in this. For me I think cryptocoins are the way forward in this digital age we now live in, and this is way overdue in my mind. It will be nice not have paypal cancel your account or because you live in a particular country you cant use payal It will stop chargebacks and hefty fees from processors.

It's currently fueled by speculation with little else supporting it. Sure, a handful of companies are trying it out, but does that mean everyone is going to jump on it?

Not likely. Especially considering how volatile BTC is and has shown to be.

Not many businesses want to accept $100,000 worth of payments in April and have it be worth $40,000 in May.

Buying stocks and shares is exactly the same there is no difference if you really think about it. When you buy into shares you are only speculating that the share price will increase which is not always the case. I think over time it will become way more stable and will be widly accepted by a lot of companys.

Yes, but there is a difference between me writing and selling $10,000 worth of ebooks (or providing a service or whatever) from my site and having it be worth $4,000 the next month, and putting $10,000 into stocks.

          Which you specifically asked...

Which is what I answered. I would be fine speculating on BTC the same as a stock. But purposely putting my business into that volatility? No.

Additionally, that's really all the value BTC has at the moment, is that everyone is speculating on it and simply looking for a cash out. The vast majority of BTC holders have no intention of using them to purchase anything. They're simply waiting for another price spike so they can all unload, just like what is shown in that graph.

Many theorise that, every time there is a spike in BTC value, the founders who 'mined' them in the early days begin selling them off in controlled quantities (to earn a massive profit). They hold thousands of BTC, and are making a killing now, and still have plenty left over. Years back there was a sell-off which caused the price to go to $0.20 per BTC. This may happen again if there is another massive sell-off by the group who hold the majority of BTCs.

Anyone want to pay me in Bitcoins to write copy?

See, as soon as someone says "Bitcoin" people think investment opportunity. But it's only worth while as an investment if people start using it for transactions... in other words, if you can get paid in Bitcoin. I've tried offering services a few times in Bitcoin, but no luck yet... not even at a discount.

I tried offering it to my customers but nobody was interested. Seems a bit early to start accepting this.

2 or 3 months ago Bitcoins were at $260. The price shot up from somewhere in the $100's to $260 each in a few days. Some people were able to retire that day while laughing their asses off watching it drop to under $100 in 24 hours.

If you're interested in getting into Bitcoins, I'd recommend looking into Litecoin (LTC). They transfer much faster and are quite popular themselves now. They'll most likely never be as valuable at BTC's, but they'll steadily rise when BTC does and if you get in early you can turn a profit. Worst case scenario: You buy some for $2.30 (current price) and lose $100 or so.
