Default The Dating Niche is Driving Me Crazy!- Where Are The Good Products?

Hello fellow warriors,

I have created a website and built a mailing list on the dating/seduction/attraction niche. I was able to build a decent list, thanks to all the tips in this forum.... Fantastic forum!

I am very familiar with this niche and know it inside out. I am well read on topic and besides that I actually am always out on the field developing my techniques, so its fair to say I know my stuff.

Where I am struggling is finding decent affiliate products to promote. I hate to say it but the vast majority of clickbank products and paydotcom products I have come across have been absolute trash or well below the standard I would feel comfortable promoting to my list.

There is one big exception and that is Rod Cortez's The Dating Pro on PayDotCom, which is an excellent product! Rod is an active member of this forum.

Rod's product is the standard I am looking for.

It is really frustrating that a lot of these products are selling useless or recycled information. I can tell they haven't been out in the field themselves and been successfull with women as a lot of the tips they give are so off the mark!

I spent countless hours on clickbank researching products and cannot find anything useful. The same goes with paydotcom.

I have gotten to the point where I am hitting my head against a brick wall. It is draining my time and energy.

Even though a product converts well, I am looking for a quality product. I am not looking for the quick sale nor short-term gain. I want to build a long-term relationship with my list that is based on trust. If I recommend something, I have to be assured it is indeed a great product, as Rod's product is.

I am asking for your help. I know this is a popular niche that converts pretty well provided you market it correctly. There is a hungry market out there.

Can some of you please suggest products you believe are of good quality in this niche and if they also happen to have a good conversion rate that would be even better! But my first priority is the quality of the product. I can always market it to my list.

Your help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Mark

Yes I heard of David DeAngelo, the guy behind "Double Your Dating". In fact, I been following him for years and even met him once.

The problem with him, is his newsletter is very well known and there is a good chance my readers are also subscribed on his newsletter. Secondly, his ebook "Double Your Dating" was good at the time of release, introducing cocky & funny, but all his other products are spin-off from that.

There is a lack of originality.

Thirdly, he is not part of clickbank or paydotcom. Not sure how well his affiliate system works.

Finally, I am more impressed with Mystery's method then David D's.

Have you promoted his products? How has your experience been with his affiliate system?

Think outside the box.

I think Trojan came out with some little pocket rocket for the ladies - there has to be a referral program for that somewhere.

:P

You can find alternatives to dating for those who are just not ready yet.

How about creating your own product. It seems you have done the research. You know what is quality and what is not a quality product. Create your own and set the standard

Thanks willye. Yes I am looking to launch my product and set a very high standard. However, that is going to take some time, as I have to make sure i get it right.

In the mean time, I need to promote affiliate products to get a cashflow going.

Some products that I've enjoyed have come from the Real Social Dynamics Crew, Dave Miz's Insider Internet Dating Multi-media CD, Stephane's stuff is good, and the Pick Up 101 guys. I also like Juggler's stuff.

I would definitely keep David D's stuff in your mix for two reasons:

It's still good and secondly there are tons of new customers that come into this niche daily. I own most of his products and I have to disagree with the "originality" comment. David D's stuff is not a "method" at all but a combination of different philosophies and many of his products are designed to take a very specific subject and go really DEEP into it. Secondly, you'd be amazed at how many guys have never heard of David D., Mystery, Style, ToeCutter, Juggler, Brutus Braddock, and the list goes on and on. Contact their affiliate manager and let them know what you are planning and that you are a serious marketer (I know you are). See if you can't work out a deal where you can market ALL their products. For example, you can earn commissions by referring people to a RSD or Mystery bootcamp.

I would ask the affiliate person how long the "tracking cookie" stays with the visitor. Also ask if you can market the other products and not just the e-book.

Thanx for the kind words. Contact me anytime if you have any questions.

I just wanted to add that there are a lot of new products have come out into the market in just the past few months and I haven't had a chance to review many of them. So I'm sure there are some winners out there that I don't know about.

It's not exactly dating, but the Magic of Making Up is a great one to promote.

It all depends on if you're marketing to women or men. I've written my own series of eBooks in the dating niche (that cross over to self development) for women.

If you're looking for products that cater to men, then DD is a genius when it comes to offering tips on how to attract women.

Have you considered monetizing with CPA instead of digital products? Some of the online dating sites have very generous CPA programs. Check it out at Commission Junction.

While adult friend finder is not paying the big $130 commissions they were a couple months ago, they still pay $75 per sign up, and regardless of which other products you market, you can easily make good extra money with AFF.

Mark,

You want originality?

http://www.doctorpaul.net.

The only guy who has a single original idea between his ears in the dating niche, and he also has the academic credentials to prove it.

He is also the only dating coach verified by Psychology Today.

All others are just watered down cult copies from mystery, david d, and ross jeffries.
Do a bit of research and you'll see that what I am telling you is correct.

Also, anyone who does not use clickbank or paydotcom tends to use 1shopping cart which is a good system. Very reliable and pays on time.

Gunwitch Method was on paydotcom before when I was looking into the niche. He's one of the original dudes who targets women during the day time and not so much bar/club stuff....

Also David D is a marketing genius so definitely worth a try.

Hi Mark,

First you say:

Now, I'm not being an arse when I say this but I have NO real vested interest or association with this market, but as a marketer I ended up signing up for one guy's list when I saw his banner ad.

I'm amazed by his content, and by his marketing. And that's just ONE program!

My question is, do you REALLY know your market?

Either way, here's what I recommend:

1. Spend a week in your customer's shoes. Visit the sites he/she would
2. Take note of the ads that draw you in
3. Sign up to their newsletter and watch them work.
4. See what draws you to take action, and what sucks
5. Apply the same positive principles, tricks and techniques to your own marketing, and see what happens
6. Promote THEIR program first, and see what happens

Not sure where to go?

Well, again I ask...do you know your market? I could probably tell you the top 50 sites a single guy visits, and guess what...they are not all dating sites.

But for simplicity sake, go to the free dating sites (cuz that's where advertisers know there's big traffic) and see what's being advertised.

Forget CB, or any other network. The only way to know what's good is to get out there and see who's moving and shaking for real.

I hope this kinda helps?

I know why your sales SUCK. And I guarantee if you use this method, you WILL double your income or I'll buy it back off you TWICE. CLICK HERE to get it before I pull it

Eben Pagan IS David DeAngelo. (Not sure he wants you to know that yet, though.)

There's a new one by a guy named John Alanis. Put a .com after his name and see if his stuff can make you money.

Wow... so many players got into internet marketing heheh

Hm. I'm not sure what kind of game you are spitting, but if it's good - contact Player Supreme and try to make a deal with him to promote his podcasts or even better - his book that just came out. The book is more then good, probably the best in my opinion. He doesn't have an affiliate program - at least from what I know, so you'll have to make a deal with him in some other way.

Surf through the community, go to RSD and see how you can promote their workshops and stuff like the Jeffy Show, they have products that cost a couple hundred dollars - so you can make a bunch of money from them even if the commission is 10% or something low like that. For some reason all the best products are NOT on clickbank and paydotcom, so what you need to do is go knock on the doors yourself and do business with those people directly. You could create your own product, but as you said, that's a lot of work and theirs big competition. Anyway... I'm not sure how it goes with lists - but if it's possible you can send old emails you already wrote to new subscribers - this way you can promote the same product more then once.

Good luck,
Jack

By the way... a really good and simple product is John Alexander's, How to Become an Alpha Male or something like that, I think his product is on Clickbank, you won't be disappointed with it.

How about trying Amazon. There are hundreds of self help books in dating niche.

Personally I've read about Leil Lowndess' "How To Talk To Anyone:92 Little Tricks For Big Success In Relationships".Some of the techniques have worked well for me in real life.
Now he got a brand new book.Just do an Amazon search on his name and you'll get some links.Maybe the commission is not that big from Amazon but if you're looking for some real and NO B.S books on dating niche,Amazon is the right place.

Here's another suggestion from me.
Actually you don't really have to find a product that specifically mention the word "dating" or "love" in it's sales letter or front cover. How about trying books on "persuasion" or "hypnosis"? It's really important for anyone to understand some basic psychology to better understand people's behaviour. Check out Kevin Hogan's "CovertHypnosis.Net" and Michael Lee's "How To Be An Expert Persuader In 20 Days" available at "20daypersuasion.com".Both product's are being sold via Clickbank.
Personally I'd prefer Michael Lee's product as he provides a lot of affiliate tools to help you make some quick sales.

Hope that helps..
