I love Lynda

Hey gang. For those of you who are just getting into building websites and marketing online, I can highly recommend you check out Lynda.com.

In IM you tend to be the jack-of-all-trades, and yes eventually you start to outsource some jobs, but you should still know what you or or contractors are doing and the challenges they face. You can really get caught up in having to learn a lot of different software, languages, coding, SEO, video etc. technology and this is VERY time consuming.

Well Lynda.com is a huge, virtual educational resource. I have been a member for 2 years now, and they basically offer professional video tutorials covering almost everything and every program you will ever need to know to make money online. I just noticed they added a twitter course this month!

They have a monthly or annual subscription and I use them almost every time I get something new that I must learn - or at least become aware of. Anyway, a course can run from 2 hours to 10 or 12 hours hours depending on the software, but they tend to be in easily digestible 10 to 12 minute videos.

You can view the first few videos of ANY course without signing up just to get a feel for the quality and content on the site.

I used her videos a couple of years ago, and would also recommend them. If you are wanting some hands on experience, this is a great way to learn things like html, flash, etc.

Oh, you guys are going to get me in trouble!

I love to do online classes, and there are so many things I'd like to try, but the learning curve is so steep and I only have so many hours in the day...

I'll stick a note on my bulletin board to go check this out as a treat after I get my current big project done. Thank you for the info!

Lynda is hot! Don't tell my wife! Just one course and I was hooked. However, Lynda sounds like a guy...

Joking of course, my instructor was Michael Ninness - great instructor. I really enjoyed the first course I went through so I'm looking forward to finding more from Lynda.com.

I have had my subscription for 1 year now. I have not been using it as much as I could be, but I plan on downloading all the videos that interest me and storing them before my subscription is over... I use a download manager to catch the videos and save them to my hard drive.

Lynda is great, I learned SEO from watching the Richard john Jenkins videos on this site.

Does Lynda have any videos on Twitter yet?

I want to offer them to my list.
My list seems to love Twitter related content that is top quality like all the Lynda videos that I have ever seen.

I used the Lynda.com dreamweaver book to teach a university-level web design course a couple of years ago and it was FANTASTIC. I've sent went back and got a lot of the training which is just as good. Worth every penny!

I've used Lynda for a while, the php and photoshop courses in particular are excellent, so much easier than reading through a few hundred pages, great courses to do in your spare time.
