Sometimes people pick up trends well. John Reese is one of them. On his income.com blog is something that may mean the difference between you having long term success or not. It certainly explained why I, as an internet user looking for content as any other surfer would, won't click on any Google link to an ezine article directory or a review site anymore. AND YOU ARE FREE TO CALL ME SHORT-SIGHTED, CRAZY, STUPID, CLOSED-MINDED, JUDGEMENTAL, OR UNWILLING TO (fill in the blank), but I've had enough "bad content" experiences to group those into one category of "useless". THIS IS AS IN INTERNET *USER* AND NOT AN IM'ER, so you can coyly deny what's happening all you want, but I guarantee you...THERE ARE HUNDREDS LIKE ME AND IT'S GOING TO GROW INTO THE MILLIONS. Download Reese's report and see if you can get some of the people with my same sentiment back as customers. BECAUSE IT'S GROWING. (And you won't hear about it here because most are afraid to mention it.) |

Thanks, Derrick, but what really doesn't make sense is how lots of the techniques that are priased here aren't objectively looked at for their long term value. In every activity, what the results are now as well as the future need to be looked at, too. Article marketing to directories and spamming review sites is something that's touted as wonderful things, and though I'm not suggesting their not, over time the effectiveness is certainly questionable. I'm simply noting that someone that sees surfing trends is going to pick up that article directory entries and mini-review sites coming up high in the SERPS are starting to be overlooked as offering a lot of value to the Google user. You're entitled to not agree. (Edit - added the following.) It doesn't mean that either of us are wrong. I've bought lots of IM related article marketing material, both WSO's and stuff like Sean Mize, and the interesting thing was how the vibe of what it's going to do to the overall sentiment of internet users was never even mentioned. And yet it's already affected me as an internet user. |

I tell you what.. I'm going to be at a clients today. I will go around and ask how many of the people who work there have even heard of EA or any other article sites. I'm willing to put up money that ZERO have ![]() Now, I'm not an "article marketer" - but I don't see article directories losing traffic just beause the general public will stop clicking on their links in the serps. I'd be more concerned with google deciding one day it no longer likes EA.. |

This isn't some closed community where only certain topics or opinions are allowed. You'll probably find that there are many things discussed by this forums members that are waaaay outside whatever the limits you think there are reach. I don't read John's Blog but he does tend to come here and post when the mood takes him, so I'm sure he'd happily be telling us if there was something significant happening and he honestly thought we were ignorant of it. Maybe you should spend some time engaging with people here on a subject you think hasn't been covered adequately - the responses may surprise you.

| I'd liek to point out that if you are a member of an internet marketing forum, read john reeses blog, and even know WHAT an article directory is - then this statement is incorrect: "THIS IS AS IN INTERNET *USER* AND NOT AN IM'ER"

I think he more than did so on both. He wrote a report (he thought it was so powerful) and inside tells how we can profit from it. And about the casual user not knowing about EZA, I didn't mention EZA specifically, but the appearance of a directory being the link instead of an authority site. I just skip them. Hmm. Apparently it IS just me, then. Carry on, then, everyone, (but thanks to all who's shared.)

LOL man this almost drove me into one big rant... If you call yourself a marketer or even participate in a marketing forum please stop filling it up with personal opinions (or with other peoples) when you have no significant tested proof to back it up. So many people in this forum smoke themselves out from who walks the walk to who just talks the ________. Allen, give us a section where we can talk about only our split test results lol. I don't see "millions" of people not stumbling upon articles and reading them in the near future but what I do see is Google changing the game a little. I think if there will be another slap most review sites will get hit that include "scam" in their ad headlines. Google is trying to provide their users with relevant content so unless someone is specifically searching for a product or person with the words "scam" in their search, its not relevant really. |

I'm not even sure what's going on here, but the original post sounded eerily similar to me after 4 jack and waters at a wedding reception. Is the beef that article marketing is dead, or contrived, or not of value? Hell, man, we could all just go to wikipedia and put our niche expertise in there...big social love-fest. But I guess the idea we're embracing is pulling an income from the internet. Hopefully we're adding more value than not, but even "real" companies put out crap products and information from time to time. And if you're not an internet marketer, as you claimed, is that because you haven't produced any online income? I can dig that part, if you're bitter. Have fun skipping over the landmines of article directories littering the serps. To your success! Bill |

Wasn't the title of this thread "Get the Reese Report" at first? Aren't we on opportunity.com now or are we missing something? |
