I realize this may be a stupid question. I would like to promote affiliate products. However, I want to capture the users email address so I can build my own list. How can I create a splash page that captures the users email address and then directs the URL to my affiliate link ? It seems like most affiliate pages require the user to put in his email address. I would like to have the email address from my capture forwarded and populate the affiliate page so the user doesn't have to enter an addrss twice. Once for my capture page and again for the affiliate splash page. Additionally, if the user puts in his email address into the affiliate splash page, and then the publisher sends a follow up email to the user, and the user then purchases the product or service, will the affiliate still get credit ? Thank you for any direction here.

Bzzt. Nope. These people are adding your leads to their list and selling them stuff that doesn't pay you a commission. They are actively trying to rip you off. Don't promote their products.

Generally not, which is exactly why they do it.

To answer your original question, in your autoresponder setup, you can redirect people to a custom "check your email" page to get their confirmation link and to a custom "welcome" page after they confirm. Either or both of these can be set to an affiliate link, or (more commonly) to a redirect page on your site which forwards to an affiliate link. You can also send a promo with the affiliate link in their welcome email.

It's entirely possible and not completely stupid to point these at three different affiliate products. You can even explicitly call out in the welcome email that you've pointed them at two products already, and this third one really helps tie them together so they're worth far more than the sum of their parts.

Thanks for the information. So that I understand, if an affiliate link first goes to this publishers splash page which captures the users email address and then redirects to the offer, there is no way to bypass this publishers splash page (requiring an email from the user) and go deirctly to the offer ? For example, I want to promote a clicksure product. But, the affiliate link first goes to a splash page which is asking for an email. I'd like to somehow skip the publishers splash page and go directly to the offer and still get credit. Thanks again

There may be, but it depends on the network and the vendor. It's also frequently against the network's policies to do this. You should look for products which don't have email capture on the landing page.
