Any Warriors using NextGen Gallery?

Hello Folks,

The last few days I've been totally immersed in getting to grips with WordPress! I like it a lot! But I'm having a weird issue with a plugin called Nextgen Gallery.

This looks like it should be a great plugin if I can get it to work properly - but when I click on the Gallery page in Explorer, the thumbnails are positioned over my header! If I click to view another tab (Different site) and then go back, the thumbnails are in the right place!

When viewed in Firefox, the thumbnails are displayed over the footer! Not sure if these problems are just happening on my machine. The url for this page is Gallery | Mrs Back to Front

I'd be grateful if someone could take a look and let me know how the page displays on another PC.

Many thanks,

Myles

Hi Myles, I had a look at your site and the gallery is displaying off the bottom of the page under the white square. I'm using firefox. I'm afraid I can't offer any help but I hope someone can. The pictures look good - just in the wrong place, I was hoping to use NextGen Gallery myself but I will watch and see how you get on!
    Good Luck

I'm a novice, and I'm using NexGen gallery with great success. I thought it was the easiest of 5 galleries I tried out. Sorry you're having such difficulty. Maybe it's not compatible with your theme or an outdated WP version?

Switch themes and see what happens?

    Best wishes,

Myles the problem could be your theme.

Not all themes are built equal.

The best was to test this is go into your presentation and load the default wordpress theme and see how it looks. If it is all ok then that will show you its the theme that cannot handle the plugin.

      Hi Folks,

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions. It looks like my theme is the culprit. I switched to default as suggested and the gallery works fine.

Looks like I'll have to go back to the drawing board and figure out what is wrong with my theme. The layout code is O.K, but I must have missed a bit of php, or something extra needs to come out!

      Thanks again,

      Myles

I really love the Nextgen gallery plugin, but I have also had many difficulties and compatibility issues with it in the past.

I really recommend using it though!
