Best way to advertise?

What do you think is the best way to advertise a massage parlor (for like aches and like small injuries) that is on a second floor of a building and they also don't have a website. I was thinking about making a facebook page and joining groups related to this niche to try to get some people to come. What do you guys think? Where can I find people that would need this kind of stuff? Thanks in advance.

I think you should think more offline. Maybe get one of those guys that flip signs all the day. Or get someone to handout discount flyers to at a local shopping center. Social media is just a bonus to have for businesses like that, you don't need it and most of times won't boost customers/sales. Some customers may just like for you to have a online presence, website/fanpage.

    Hope this helps

I would, use direct mail + coupons for... this type of business!

Use Facebook/Twitter + use Autoresponder, for specials that only people on that, list shall get. You, are building relationships...

The same way massage parlors have been advertised for the last century: classifieds in the local newspaper, direct mail to the area (easier than ever with USPS' Every Door Direct Mail program, you just choose a carrier route and drop off a stack of fliers/cards), a listing in the local yellow pages, and partnerships with local businesses.

You want to find all the local complements that serve the same clientele (local gyms, yoga and dance studios, aroma/health/natural healing places, chiropractors). Offer to put a stack of their business cards and brochures on your front desk if they'll do the same for you. Growing a small local business is all about being part of the community. Network with the other area businesses, join the local chamber of commerce, participate in the local Patch or other online newspaper, etc.

They should have *some* website, a Facebook page, etc. just to have the listings when people do local searches on their phones and such (claim your Google Places for Business listing), but don't spend too much time and money on the online stuff. It makes no sense to advertise to national audiences when you only serve local customers, and while some people seem to think otherwise, a purchased Facebook "like" doesn't put money in the parlor's cash drawer.

There are websites that are like yellow pages for masseuses. I think massagefinder.com is one, but look up massage or masseuse online and you should see something.

It sounds to me like fitness, jogging, exercise, sports web sites might be a good place to find folks with aches, pains, and small injuries. You could advertise on such sites, do solo mailings, place a banner, do co-op ads, ads on thank you pages, and on and on . . . think creatively.

    Good luck,

    Here's a few ideas:

    1) Make it easy for people to know where you are

    2) Sign up to Google Places

    3) Sign up for PPC (adwords and bingads)

    4) Focus on SEO (should be easy)

    5) Do direct mail and postcard marketing

    6) Find high quality leads in the SRDS

    7) Consider hiring an internet marketing consultant if you're busy with the day to day operations of your business - and make them show you RESULTS each and everyday. Or else fire them.
