Where to get cheap/free traffic for testing pages & products?

Hey all,
What do you do when you want to test out an idea and see if it will convert or sell?

At the moment it seems like the available options are:
  • Buy PPC ads and look at click rates
  • Buy Adf.ly traffic
  • ...?
In a perfect world, there would be a "free traffic fountain" where you could send a few hundred visitors a day to your page or offer, but...
#cheap or free #pages #products #traffic

7 search are good place for testing but it requires initial deposit. I always do some split testing on that network and when I get results just transfer campaign to PPV lead impact. On 7search I just test market for possible interest.

Adfly and clixsense is what i used in the past but only for testing purposes. Definitely not to rely on for real converting traffic.

Thanks! But I was looking for ideas besides PPC & Adfly. I will give Clixsense and Lead Impact a look, though.

Facebook and Twitter marketing can help. PPC can cost you money without even getting some conversion. Definitely FB fanpage and Twitter page would have greater reach so acquire fans and followers as mch as you can. As for me, I haven't built FB fanpage yet while I only have few twitter followers for the meantime (really busy being a student) but when I asked someone with 120K+ followers to tweet a message for me, I got 68 hits (tracked with goo.gl) with around 60 retweets.

I agree 7search is one of my favorite low cost networks...

You can also try infolinks which is also a low cost PPC network with a twist.. I'd avoid ad.fly, I used to use ad.fly just for squeeze page traffic, and it really only clouded my true conversion rates cause the traffic is sooo low quality...

I'd go option 1 7search, option 2 infolinks, option 3 good old fashion grinding
      (ie. craigslist, bookmarking, articles, ect..)

It sounds like 7Search is the overwhelming favorite here for cheap traffic!

I would say StumbleUpon, but they recently changed their pricing model and their low-converting traffic is just not worth it anymore. Go with 7Search. It's cheap and it will help you test your funnels while possibly generating sales as well.

You wont find more targeted traffic thatn the one you will find on adwords, but any other PPC platform should be good (yahoo), but depending on what your offer may be you may want to try adult traffic cheaper than others and it may convert well.

I'm not familiar with adult traffic at all. You mean banners on adult sites? Or are there specific networks for adult site sourced traffic?

Also, isn't adult-sourced traffic going to have insanely high bounce rates if you send it to a non-adult page? (but then again I suppose it's probably not as bad as adf.ly)

you could try free traffic from social media sites....might not have the absolute best conversion rates compared to paid traffic, but hey at least it's free!
