Hi Warriors,

Quick question.

With the new Paypal dispute/resolution system, is it possible for sellers to actually NOT get scammed over digital products now?

I know Paypal had no policy on digital products before.

But now it seems like anyone and everyone can just raise a dispute in Paypal over a digital product and get their money back regardless.

Especially infuriating is the new "Unauthorized Account Use" where it's practically impossible to get the funds back no matter how you argue it. But my main question revolves around normal disputes, not unauthorized account usage (even though it's obvious none of the people filing account usage claims were actually hacked).

So do you just have to hope and pray now that people don't get a "free ride" through Paypal or what? Or is there some way to actually win these disputes if the claim is totally baseless and ridiculous?

Thanks.

You can escalate it and they will close it immediately w/ no refund issued.

Unauthorized account use is impossible to win. I alluded to it awhile back when it first came out.
I actuallty recorded the guys ip# both wnen he placed the order , received his information and after the dispute when he was still using the email account.

This is the truth. I filed a dispute the seller escalated it and it was immediately closed. I contacted PayPal and asked why and they said it's because PayPal does not rfund for virtual products. (their term)

I thought this was how it worked in the old system? With the NEW Paypal system, does it currently still work this way?

If someone wants a refund that badly, just give it. Less stress and headaches.

          • Yeah there is no point fighting refunds, it's not worth the hassle for just one sale.

How do you escalade it? I had a similar problem with a guy who buy 2 of my products, and he already make money with my affiliate program, so this guy had a refund and he want I pay it the affiliate commissions as well! (the refund was $97 me made $47 in comissions)
