Default I am starting to change my mind about a few "gurus"

I took a challenge from a fellow Warrior who suggested that I spend some time checking out stuff from some "gurus" before passing judgement on them.

Okay, I admit that I was painting with a very broad brush stroke.

I was wrong.

There are some out there that are really good.

That is all.

That's very magnanimous of you Michael. I'm sure one or two "gurus" will sleep easier tonight.

In fact, most of their ideas could make you a little fortune, the secret is to actually start and complete the methods that you learned, and the only thing that some gurus don't tell you is that you need to outsource.

Hey man, I'm just coming back and making the statement that I was wrong.

Not trying to give anyone any good nights of sleep.

Hi there! I'm new to internet marketing but...

However, my first experience with all this was via a business conference in which I met 3 so-called gurus. They pitched their materials and I bought 1. Needless to say, it was not worth my money. Upon further investigation, most of the gurus worked the same circles and when you signed up for one you signed up for them all anyway as they promoted each others list.

I understand NOW that this is the nature of the game, but being a newbie, it was confusing at first. I could have saved those thousands of $$ by just reading some of these forums to gain some of the same info. Its frustrating though, because I have paid for something and got nothing. Each avenue meets me with more obstacles than not.

not to mention... I was able to make 3 sales over 3 months through his affiliate program and cannot figure out when or if he is going to send me a check! No one ever answers my calls (but they cashed my check) and they won't email me with info on my commission.

Another thing I found was that everything ends up with the upsale to a coaching program that costs me as much as I make in 2 months on a job. Each coaching program was $10k or more...with no guarantees? Really?!

I may just be biased because of my little experience on the internet, but I really want to learn what I need to do to take this to the next level and leave the all the "fluff" out.

Well my experience was mostly based on my conceptions formulated by watching jokers like Don Lapre sell "How to make millions with Ebay" crap on late night television.

Granted, I wasn't his targeted market anyway, but it was so... icky watching it.

I felt slimey just watching him.

Seriously!! Don Lapre is still doing info-mercials?? OMG! I bought his Making Money with Classified Ads in the 90's and still cannot figure out why I purchased a 900 line! LOL

I thought he was in jail for fraud!

I haven't seen him in a while either. I was just stating that my attitude towards "guru-ism" was fashioned somewhere between him, and the little midget dudes that sold real estate training.

i totally understand. it's like the deal with network marketing. some people feed you so many lines until you get burned out on real legitimate programs out there (which there are). the same goes for the gurus.
