My thread keeps getting deleted

It was simply asking whether Facebook like buttons can bring in good amount of traffic provided they were placed in a prominent position within an article.

Did you post in the correct forum? If a post is in the wrong place it stands a good chance of being axed. With your join date and post count you probably already know that but I'm throwing it out there anyway.

This one seems determined to post everything in main discussion, despite having been asked repeatedly in the past to be more careful about the section he chooses.

His response is to break a different rule by complaining about the mods not wanting to spend irreplaceable chunks of their lives moving his deliberate "mistakes," and explaining why they were deleted.

Next time, Anton won't have that problem for a few months. He won't be able to post in the wrong sections. Or the right ones, for that matter.

New members make mistakes. That happens, and it won't ever stop. It's understandable. We don't get crazy over it. But consistent repeat offenders? That's either casually rude or premeditatedly stupid.

I think I speak for the rest of the mods when I say that refusing to post in the right sections after having been told how to find them is tantamount to a conscious request to get banned.

If someone can't be bothered to read the very simple posted rules, I don't see why the mods should be bothered to spend time on them.

... ain't it funny how different things look when you get to see behind the curtain?

Create different sub-forums, so that people can get better answers, faster, and they whine if you expect them to use them. Even after posting about how to find them.

Nuke a seller for breaking the posted rules (or the law), and they run around bitching that you're "not protecting the people who pay the bills." Delete a post from someone who's attacking a product they've never even seen, and they grouse about how you're "colluding with sellers to perpetrate scams on the members."

Both sides are a very tiny percentage of the membership here, but I named my current cat after them.

      I call him Dumbass.

Oh the stories I could tell. Many years ago there was a teenager on one of my forums who actually asked to be banned, and went about breaking every rule he could until we were forced to ban him. The entire membership watched this play out, and when the ban hammer came down, guess who got roasted? (Hint: It wasn't the guy who asked to banned.)

Forum modding is a crazy world. I've been doing it since 2001 for various sites. Not sure why anymore....

I apologise. Its just that I have seen people ask about social stuff related to traffic in this particular forum before. Also bit of a slave to habit; as I post nealy all my stuff here it becomes almost an instinctive thing to do.

I am not lying, seriously. I have seen plenty of threads here innthe past asking about traffic. And I also mean this when I say it. Everytime I want to start a thread my natural instinct is to come to this particular forum because, 1) people are more responsive here, and secondly, I nearly always post here so it has sort of become a habit. And lastly, since traffic is an important element of Internet marketing one could argue a thread like this could fall within the scope of the forum.

If you missed seeing those threads deleted (they are most always deleted, unless they are just overlooked by the mods), does that mean that you should be granted an exception to the rules, simply because you think that you will get a faster answer in this sub-forum rather than in the correct sub-forum?

Re: My thread keeps getting deleted
When I saw your thread title, my first thought was that you are a slow learner.

Is that true? Are you a slow learner?

Maybe an exception can be given if you are mentally handicapped? Would that make you feel better?

Traffic has nothing to do with it! It's because Facebook posts belong in this section.

            Mr. Anton543,
Your question and ur opinions are different.
U wrote ur threads are getting deleted, but u r writing that threads are not published.

Make sure what is ur real problem.
I use this forum for few months regularly, never find such problem.

I think problems belongs to u, not with the forum.

What I don't understand is why you say your thread "keeps" getting deleted.

After it was deleted once, you posted it again to have it deleted again and so on and so on?

Are you not good at taking hints?

I wasn't given any indication that it was deleted. I thought maybe the site was having some issues which could have prevented post being published.

I think I read somewhere that if your thread gets deleted, don't make another thread talking about how your other thread got deleted...

Number 5....actually written by Paul LOL:

    5. If your thread is deleted, do not re-post it. Do not post a thread asking why it was deleted. Read the rules, watch how things are done here, and figure it out. This is not complicated stuff.

They usually do, unless it is an opportunity to provide others a good example.
