5 productivity extensions for Google Chrome

I have tried and abandoned many tools to help me get focused so I thought I would share the top 5 I have used.

1: Evernote:

I seriously don't know where I would be without Evernote this is absolute must for IMs. It puts everything in one place - your notes, images, documents, web clips and audio notes. You can then sync them to all of your other computers. You have to get the paid version to sync to your mobile devices. Seriously if you only get 1 of the 5 make it this one!

2: Mind Meister:

Say good bye to endless note taking, use mind maps to easily plan out projects and have everything all in one place. You can use notes, links and attachments on your maps. Allows for more creativity by easily being able to link all the information together.

3. Strict work flow:

Online Pomodoro timer. Enforces a 25min/5min workflow: 25 minutes of distraction-free work, followed by 5 minutes of break. It blocks all distracting sites such as Facebook and Youtube while in the work phase. This one turns you into an absolute machine! Very simple, but very powerful tool

4: todo.ly

An easily accessible online to-list. Create separate lists for your work, personal and shopping etc. Whats really good about having them online is you can edit them so easily. Importantly you can also prioritize and set dates for tasks. There is a print out option should you need to take you list out and about with you.

5: Adblock

Get rid of online ads, while Adblock has over 10,000,000 users there are still plenty of people who haven't yet realized they can enjoy the web without being bombarded with ads. Useful if your regular on Youtube.
