Hi all,

I have only recently decided to try to make money through internet marketing and have received some good advice so far. However, the advice which I have received really requires me to be accepted into a CPA network, which seems hard if you have no experience in the field.

Does anyone have any advice to help me get my business up and running and profitable?

I have also signed up as an affiliate with Amazon and started a webpage, but there are some issues with the design which I would like to change before I get serious about sending traffic to it. I have heard that it is quite important to start out strong and have a good image from day one, but fear that I may be hung up on that idea of getting it perfect.

Please, if anyone has any starting out advice to offer then I would be greatly appreciative.

Thanks

Some of the best advice you will get on this thread is to stay focused on one thing at a time. You mentioned being interested in CPA, and also mentioned you signed up as an Amazon Associate, and you're getting a website set up. It's great that you're taking action, because that's where most people fail. However, focus on one thing at a time. Since you've already started your website, focus on setting everything up just the way you want it, then focus on writing content to fill the site, then place your Amazon links around your site.

Don't skip around from setting up your site to promoting CPA offers to whatever else you might be interested in.

Master one thing at a time and you will be successful

Thanks for that advice. It does make a lot of sense to hear somebody else say that. I have been thinking that for a while now.

Hello Leon, Welcome to the forum. Good to hear that you already have some directions on where to go. Amazon is a good place to start.

      - First and foremost thing is to stay focused on your amazon idea.

      - Don't get bogged down on doing everything perfectly, it's only going to delay your progress.

      - Start with what you have and get to work.

      - Don't overload yourself with too much info.

      - Get started with what you already know right now.

You are one step closer to success...

      Dr.Spencer Jones

My best advice: stick with it because it's going to take time. I've been doing this for over 10 years, and I can tell you the bulk of those years I made just pennies. It's only in the last 4 years that I finally learned to do things right, and I'm still learning.

Well, am not a CPA person but do amazon.

Basically, making money off amazon is about:

    1. Finding products with buying or relevant keywords that generates not less than 3000 global monthly search.

    2. Setup a WP sites with a high converting theme or specifically look for amazon themes.

    3. Write or outsource your content review and add image.

    4. Get traffic from SEO, social media, YouTube and others.

    That's basically everything..

Welcome to the forum, reason why CPA so great because of trend how I see. CPA is all about getting someone sign up for something and you get paid for it.

I nothing against CPA, but since you have amazon. Then focus on amazon my best advice.

Don't be Jack of all trade master of none.

Stick with Amazon for a few months and get that site up & profitable before you move on to another one.

An easy way to fail online is to spread yourself too thin and fail at many things instead of focusing on succeeding with one before moving onto another.

Good luck, and welcome to the party

If you are able to learn CPA, then you can make good money with it.
CPA is very good as it is a quick and efficient way to make money. However you do need to learn how to have effective CPA...... also there is a dedicated forum CPA on warriorforum, maybe spend time around there and you will see what and how others are doing in CPA.
    Good Luck

Welcome to the forum. If you're trying to build an affiliate niche site with Amazon, I recommend checking out the niche site case study. It's great for beginners because it goes step-by-step through everything required to bring a site from idea to profitability.

Also, contrary to what most people will tell you, avoid paying for anything when just starting out. At this stage, research is most important and 99% of the information you need in this stage is free.

Welcome! I am new as well. Glad to see the advice above is what I have been told. The last two months have been a lot of fun, especially when you see a couple of dollars show up in your Adsense account or a few orders post on you Amazon affiliate page.

Good luck and I look forward to hearing updates from you!

I absolutely recommend that you join the war room on this forum. I was sceptical at first, but every day that I go in there I am blown away at the high quality content / offers that I find.

    AJ is right.

Focus on one thing at a time and just keep asking yourself, 'what is my next logical step?'

For example, you don't need to learn how to drive traffic until you have created something to drive traffic to.

More people fail at this game (and always remember, it should be fun), because they overload themselves trying to do too many things at the same time and end up doing none of them correctly.

It sounds like you have a really good head on your shoulders! You are right to worry about getting caught up in the details. Being a perfectionist is not all that different from being a procrastinator (I am both- I've perfected procrastination and procrastinated being perfect). I would give myself a set amount of time to come up with my idea for how I want to site to look (maybe 1-2 days), then a set time to research hosts and builders (1 day), and then a set amount of time to build and perfect my site (a week?). Whatever seems reasonable to you. Then, I would stick to my timeline even if things are not perfect. Certainly, you want to do a job right, but at the same time you also want to make sure you do the job at all. You can always tweak as you go along. Good luck to you!

Wow! Sorry guys, I had posted this thread, replied to one comment and had to log off as I was in an area with no network coverage. I've had my kids all weekend and have only just logged on. Thank you so much to all who have posted on this, it really has inspired me and given me that little nudge that I needed to get this thing up and running. Particularly Dr. Spencer Jones and Arkina, your words really do mean a lot and I am ever so grateful for the encouragement I hope that in the next few months I will be posting about my success

Leon welcome to the forum. Have you ever considered selling on Ebay? It's a very simple way to make money... as long as you dont mind driving down to the post office everyday. I personally cannot endorse Amazon for my own personal reasons.
