Sorry if this is a newbie question but in order to get a backlink on a blog i know you have to post on the comments section but in order to have a legit backlink do you post your site in the email section or do you do a txt link for your keyword in the comment section?

When you comment on a blog (and make sure it is dofollow), you should always have three fields in addition to your comment to fill in: name, email, and website. By changing your name to your keyword, you'll get relevant anchor text, but it might be frowned upon by others because you'll be seen as a marketer and not a contributor to the conversation. So enter your website URL into the website field and if you want, use your main keyword as your name.

CurtisN is right. Putting your keyword as your name gives a good anchor text backlink. You can also put your website and anchor text within the comment body, but the chances this will be approved is very low.

Major blogs use "nofollow" backlining, so commenting way is useless for SEO purposes. However, you can use a software to find blogs with the "dofollow" commenting system.
