to Warrior Forum. Looking Forward to Meeting/Learning From Everyone

Started down the path of Internet Marketing/Making Money online back in April. Really have done much except learn through trial and error. Finally found a few things that worked for me (mostly Adsense and Amazon Affiliates) on my mud running blog.

Yesterday, I woke up and instead of being ranked #1, for my top keyword, on Google, I am now a the bottom of page 1 or top of Page 2. My other keywords, I am no longer ranked on the first pages as well. Worked with a buddy of mine, and cleaned some things up (he fixed a lot of my plugin errors, sitemap, and so on).

I built up my rankings by writing articles, creating hub pages, and through social media. Hopefully, now that all the errors have been fixed, I begin to move back up Google.

What I want to learn here is if I am doing any of the above right or going about it all the wrong way.

I see a lot of services offered in the other forums, but are they overkill, or good ways to get started?

Finally, am I wasting my time with Amazon Affiliates? I have heard good and bad things. I have made some money with them ($35 in May and June) but would like to learn about more options.

Thank you!

Is Amazon a good fit for YOUR blog?

If it's getting conversions, then your readers like it.

Could you be making more with your site?

Maybe.. are you getting optins and building a list yet? If no, that's the next step that will increase your income and put you on the path to a better business plan.

I just started my first mailing list, this Monday. Only have 3 people signed up so far.

Before being dropped in Google, I was averaging about 120 people a day. Now I am down to a trickle of about 40 to 50. Hoping I start rising back up.

What are options? Is there a good thread on this board that can explain it. Thanks!

    Hi...

Although you have only been at it a few months, you have done more than many of those that have been involved in internet marketing for years.

I would recommend not overreacting to changes in your Google rankings. It will drive you crazy because sometimes there's no rhyme or reason for the changes. Sometimes making IMPROVEMENTS will temporarily hurt rankings. They should re-stabilize after a few days/weeks.

Keep learning. Asking questions. Taking actions.

You'll do just fine with your online ventures (and adventures).

    Much Success,

If your site is new, it's normal that it goes up and down in the search engines.

Most call it the Google dance.

Just keep doing what works.. put out new content and use social media and content syndication to drive traffic back to your site.

If you think you were penalize because you've been creating spammy links, go find those links and remove them.
