Hi,

I have 5 developed wordpress sites which I'd like to sell. These are all aged domains that are 3 - 4 years old. These sites are high-end physical product affiliate sites with above $1.00 CPC keywords. Have not had the time to keep up with expanding the sites, so no income but all the setup and design work has been done.

I'm looking for advice on brokerage services that would I could approach or an established Flippa seller who is willing to partner up with me. I understand there are many scammers on Flippa and would prefer not to fall victim to them.

Also, looking for advice on low cost options of who I can outsource the actual transfer of sold websites to. The whole site transfer process is a bit too techy for me.

PM me for a list of the sites

Much Appreciated
George

Why not just list the sites yourself on Flippa?

Aged domains with some content is valuable to people. Someone might buy just for the PR alone. Just don't expect thousands of dollars since they aren't getting any traffic or sales.

I have read on this forum where there are scammers who prey on newbies on Flippa. Noone mentioned details, but I could imagine it involves not getting paid. If all I need to do is use the Escrow.com service to avoid that problem, I would be open to listing them myself.

Secondly, I am not technical enough to be able to effect the site transfer (SQL, etc) if I did sell the sites. Hope to find a low-cost option to outsource that aspect which is cheaper than the $67 service Flippa recommends.

Lastly, I would definitely be realistic about the sales price given the lack of site income. But, as you mentioned, there has to be some value for developed, aged sites anyway.

      Thanks!

I have sold a 3 months old website on Flippa for 75$ which had 0 income and 0 reported traffic (It had like 300 hits a month but it was pretty low so no reason to post it). When you have nothing to offer on the IM part you need to focus on the options, make it sure the websites have nice graphic and nice domain name and then people might see throw the lack of marketing.

I think that you should be able to sell them yourself, You can chose how the buyer will pay, option one is paypal and option 2 is Escrow.com, you transfer the website only after the buyer made a deposit in Escrow.com and only after he gets it you get paid. The down side of this service is that it has like 10$ fee and it takes time to get the money but it is 100% secure.

You can use hostgator to transfer the website, just buy 1 month hosting account and hostgator will transfer the entire website and domain to the new account for free (as long as you paid for at least 1 month of hosting) so you really don't need to do anything but ask the transfer.

Thanks for the tip. So, does that mean I will have to provide a credit card which Hostgator will charge to me every month (and not just for the first month) instead of charging the buyer? How do I get the buyer to take over payment from month 2 on for the sold site?

      Thanks Again!

You are paying for the most basic hosting plan (use paypal) and as soon as you pay cancel the subscription to hostgator which means that you won't need to keep paying and then just ask hostgator to transfer the website, as soon as they transfer the website hand the hosting account to the buyer and you are done, he can transfer it to his own hosting account or keep paying for the one you gave him. (If he will chose not to pay the hosting account will close after a month)
This way you don't need to deal to much with the buyer nor transferring but you will need to pay about 7$ for the hosting.
